Vince's POV

I'm jealous. I'm fucking jealous. I know I don't have the right to, but I am. I went to Tutti Frutti after work para sana bilihan ng froyo si Vee. Vee's not hard to please and buying her froyo could help me start a talk with her.

But seeing her with that guy made me feel hopeless. I saw how happy she is with that KD guy at mas lalo lang sumama ang loob ko kasi I should be the one in his place. Ako dapat ang nagpapagaan ng loob niya whenever she feels down because I'm her bestfriend.

Pero hindi eh. Because this time, I was the one who brought her down.

"Hey, Chef!" Tonyo greeted me when she saw me at the counter. "Wow, this is new. Ikaw na ngayon ang nagyayayang uminom."

Tonyo's one of my college friends. And actually, he doesn't really like it 'pag tinatawag siyan 'Tonyo'. He prefers to be called 'Anton' but I'm one of his best buds and I prefer 'Tonyo' more kaya wala naman siyang magawa.

Ahead lang ako ng one year sa kanya, ka-batch kasi siya nila Veera but I can say that he's the closest that I have as a friend.

"Loko! Uminom ka na lang dyan. My treat." Sabi ko sa kanya.

"Wait, may balak ka ba sa akin? Whoa, Vince, I didn't know na may HD ka pala sa akin." He said and covered his body playfully.

"Siraulo ka pa rin pala talaga 'no?" Natatawang sabi ko sa kanya. "Basta umorder ka na lang ng gusto mong inumin dyan. Ako nang bahala."

"Okay. Sabi mo eh." He said with a triumphant smile. He ordered the drink that he wants then he turned to me. "Bakit ka pala nagpapainom? Anong meron?"

"Nothing. Let's just say that this is a celebration." Sagot ko sa kanya. "I heard na malapit ka nang maging CEO ng company niyo. Congrats."

He nodded. "Yeah. Thanks, bro. Actually ayoko nga rin. Kaso I'm the eldest child eh so kailangan talaga."

"O, ayos nga 'yon eh. You're still young and that only means that you'll handle the company for a long time."

"And that also means na matagal akong mai-stress." He countered and we both laughed about his fake misfortune.

We talked about our lives now, the usual catching up, just like what we usually do everytime we drink.

"Pero seriously, bakit ka nagpa-inom? Got problems, dude? Wanna talk about it?" He inquired again after a hour, I think?

Sasagot pa sana ako but he cut me off. "Is it about a girl?"

Nginitian ko na lang siya. "What, you're a mind reader now?"

He laughed. "And let me guess, again. Is this about Veera?"

Hindi ko siya sinagot, I just continued to drink instead.

"Grabe, dude. After all these years, siya pa rin? Naging girlfriend mo pa nga si Kelly eh." Natatawang sabi niya. "You're crazy!"

"Maybe I am." I admitted. "But what can I do? My heart beats for Veera." I took a shot again then I continued. "If I could only tell my heart na sana iba na lang, I will. Pero wala, siya talaga eh."

And instead, of emphatizing with me, tinawanan niya pa ako. "You know what, that's why exactly I don't want to fall in love. Nakakabaliw. Nakakstress."

"You're just saying it now but when the right girl comes, tingnan ko lang." I retorted and took another shot. "Tatawanan talaga kita."

"We'll see." He said, his smile full of mischief. "Anyways, do you want to forget about her? Kahit ngayong gabi lang?"
