23 - You Need To Talk

Vince's POV

It's Saturday again. It's exactly one week since Veera and I talked sa resto. Hindi ko na siya nakausap ulit after that.

At first, I don't get why Veera's so mad about what happened between me and Kelly. Pero habang tumatagal, I realized that maybe it's because she's a girl too. Kaya somehow, na-offend din siya.

At sa totoo lang, miss ko na rin si Veera kaya nga lagi akong dumadaan sa HR Department para sana makausap ko na siya. Kaso hindi ko naman siya maabutan. It's either she's on a break or she already went home.

Ngayon naman, day-off niya. Kaya there'll be no chance na makausap ko siya. I don't want to apologize through DMs because I know that she won't respond.

"Hi, Kuya!" I looked at the girl in front of me. At first, I thought na si Veera 'to. But this girl's skinnier.

"O, Veronica, hi." I greeted. "Akala ko day-off mo ngayon?"

Natawa siya. "Really, Kuya? Until now, napagkakamalan mo pa rin akong si Veera? Day-off niya ngayon tsaka bukas. Sunday to Monday naman day-off ko."

"Right, I'm sorry. I keep on mixing up your schedules." I said with a smile. "Bakit ka pala napadaan dito?"

"Hmm. . . I'm craving for your carbonara eh." Kwento niya then she gave me a sweet smile. "Can you cook for me?"

"Yeah, sure. Ikaw pa ba?" I agreed. Break ko rin naman tsaka konti lang rin ang tao sa resto ngayon.

"Ikaw magluto ah. 'Wag mo ipaluto sa iba." She reminded bago ako pumasok sa kitchen.

I laughed. "Magkapatid nga kayo ni Veera."

After a few minutes, natapos ko din ipagluto si Veronica. Lumabas na ako to serve her food.

"Omg, ang creamy." She commented happily before she took a forkful of it. "Ang sarap, Kuya. You're still the best chef ever. Don't tell Nanay, okay?"

Natawa naman ako sa mga sinasabi niya.

"Well, thank you. I'm glad that you liked it."

"Ewan ko ba, Kuya, basta kanina when I woke up, carbonara mo na agad ang iniisip kong kainin." Kwento niya pa sa akin while enjoying her food.

Napatingin ako sa kanya. "Baka naman may laman na 'yan ulit, Veronica." I joked, referring to her tummy.

Biglang sumeryoso ang mukha niya at napatigil siya sa pagkain. "You think?"

"Hey, I'm just kidding. Baka nagke-crave ka lang talaga?"

"Eh pero more than one month rin kaming nagbakasayon ni Brian. And we did it." Kwento niya.

"Well, kung meron nga, isn't that great?" I said to cheer her up. It seems effective since she already smiled.

"Of course, that would be great. Gusto ko na nga rin ng bagong baby. Pero ayokong mag-expect na meron na kasi baka ma-disappoint lang ako."

"Let's pray for it, then. Para naman may bago na akong inaanak." I smiled at her and promised, "I'll pray for it."

"Thank you, Kuya." She said with a sweet smile. "Kumusta pala si Kelly, Kuya? Bakit hindi na pumupunta dito?"

I sighed. "We broke up, Veronica."

I chose to tell it to her kesa naman malaman niya na rin sa iba just like what happened to Veera.

"Ha? Why? What did you do?"

Natawa naman ako. "Bakit ba iniisip niyo na ako ang may kasalanan? Siya kaya nakipag-break sa akin."
