Vince's POV

F L A S H B A C K

Tama nga sila when they said na mabilis lumipas ang oras. I only have two months before I get promoted as a Senior High School student na.

Foundation week nga namin ngayon, but here I am, nag-aayos ng requirements.

Nilapit niya sa ilong niya ang daliri niya then she faked a disgust. "Yuck! Ang baho, Kuya." She said tsaka ako tinawanan.

"Ah, mabaho pala ah." I pulled her closer to me then I made her smell my armpit. "Ano, sinong mabaho?"

The sound of her giggles enveloped the halls. "Joke lang! Ito naman! Mabango, mabango, promise!"

I let her go. We were both panting dahil sa kakatawa when we parted. Loko kasi 'to si Veera eh.

"Pasalamat ka hindi kita abot or else, ipapaubos ko talaga 'tong amoy ng kili-kili ko sa'yo." Natatawang sabi niya.

"Bakit pala nandito ka? Everyone is in the school grounds and enjoying the booths." She asked.

Mauuna daw mag-exam ang mga grade 10 eh since may mga aasikasuhin pa kami before the completion ceremony." I explained to her.

Her smile suddenly vanished.

"Why, Vee? Anong problema?" I asked, wondering why her expression suddenly changed.

She shook her head then avoided my gaze. "Wala naman. I just remembered something."

I sighed. Hinawakan ko siya sa balikat then I made her face me. "Vee, sa akin ka pa ba magde-deny? I know you very well. I know that you're keeping something from me."

It's her turn to sigh. "Wala nga, Kuya. Tara na sa grounds? Mamaya mo na lang asikasuhin 'yang clearance mo."

Alam kong may mali but I can also sense na hindi pa ready si Veera to tell me what it is. Pansin ko naman how she changed the subject.

"Fine," I conceded. "If you're not yet ready to tell me what's wrong, okay lang. But remember that I will be here if you need someone who'll listen."

Hindi ko na siya hinintay na sumagot. I held her hand. "Let's go check the booths sa baba."

I was about to pull her pero pinigilan niya ako. "W-Wait, Kuya. Ano kasi. . ."

I looked at her. "What is it, Vee? Sabihin mo na sa akin."

She gulped for like three or four times. She usually does that when she can't figure out how she will say what's on her mind.

"Ano. . . Lilipat ka ba talaga sa Brickwood?" She finally said. Sabi ko na nga ba, this is what she's thinking.

Dun din kasi sila nag-aral ng Mom ko kasama si Tita Tanya when they were still in high school.

Dad wants me to study there dahil maganda nga naman ang business courses doon so I agreed to his plans.

For the nth time, napa-buntong hininga na naman ako. "Oo sana, Vee. I already told you Dad's plans, right?"

"Is that final?"
