I don't know what came over me when I punched Ivy. Twice. I'm not a fighter. I'm not. So I have no idea where all that anger and strength came from.

To be honest. It probably came from her calling me abandoned and worthless. Something about other people telling me things I already know ticks me off. It's stupid, but like I said I have no idea what came over me.

Hopefully they don't call Sierra. I'll be in deep shit then. She's going to literally strangle me.

Right now, I'm sitting in the office with Ivy across the room, glaring at me with a tissue brought to her nose.

She doesn't look so threatening this way. I like it this.

The hall monitors must've told about the fight, but as far as I know, I have all the evidence I need to persuade whoever is disciplining us. But honestly, two weeks of detention doesn't sound bad at all, I would sleep through it, do homework, and it would allow me to not go straight to the house.

"Ivy, Y/N," A stern voice calls. I feel my body tense up. That's not Principal Chad, we both know it. "In my office, now." We scramble up, walking in and staring into the eyes of our Vice Principal, now, she is mean. I sit down and scoot as far as possible from Ivy. "Now, what is all this talk about a fight in the halls?" She demands.

"Well," Ivy begins to explain with her sweet voice. I look at my wrist, tracing the scars. Wish I had a razor about now. "I was in the hallway talking to, Y/N, when she suddenly grabbed my wrist, pinned me to the locker and started saying super rude things to my face. Then, she punched me in the nose!" She furiously points at her nose.

"Why do you fucking lie?" I turn my head towards her, slowly.  Ivy rolls her eyes.

"Y/N," Ms. Rose gives me a warning tone.

"She's lying." I breathe out.

"Can you prove this?" Ms. Rose asks.

"For starters, she's the one who started the fight by shoving me against the lockers. Yes, I punched her but as self defense to get her away from me. Then, let's not forget the many bruises you and Lily have given to me for just talking to people." My voice breaks.

"Is the baby gonna cry?" Ivy teases.

"Ivy." Ms. Rose smacks the table. Ivy's smirk drops.

"Fuck you, Ivy. You're the one constantly bullying for no reason. I haven't done anything to you, yet you constantly pick on me." I rant. I then quickly turn my head back towards our vp. "Ms. Rose, everything that she said was opposite of what happened today."

"Well I'm having trouble understanding what exactly did happen today. Could you explain your side of the story?"

"I was walking to school with my friends and this guy she likes. She pushed me into the fence but ignored it and got to school. Suddenly I'm pushed against the lockers and she's yelling at me mad because I was talking to him- he's my friend by the way." Feels weird saying friend. "I will take responsibility for punching her, and then everything spiraled out of control."

"So you both threw punches. You both hurt each other. Over a boy?" Basically. "Alright." Ms. Rose leans back in her seat, writing stuff down on a paper. "Well, since you did punch her, that's one week of detention starting Monday for Ms. L/N," Ivy gives me a smirk and I just shrug. I got to hit her, I've been privileged enough today. "But Ivy, is it true that you have been bullying Ms. L/N for the past months?"

"W-well-"

"Then you are sentenced to two weeks of detention," Ivy's mouth drops. "And your three-day suspension will begin effective today. I will alert your parents. Anything else?" I look at Ivy, I have so much more, so much more I could say, but I'll keep that as leverage for later.

"I think we're good." I nod my head, looking back at Ms. Rose.

"Ms. L/N stay here I need to talk to you privately," I sit back down in the seat, confused. "Ivy, you are excused." She walks out of there like a zombie, and I have half the mind to laugh at her. "So, how long has this really been going on, Y/N?" I shrug. To everyone else, Ms. Rose is the meanest person on the planet. To me? She's more like a stern mother that I need in my life.

"Since school started," I answer. "Ginny has been spreading rumors about me since she became friends with Ivy and the fact that she's a year older than me doesn't help at all at home."

"Is anyone hurting you at home? Is she?"

"No." I quickly reply, lying. "No, she's not. Just annoying me to a point where I wanna slam my head against the wall." I look up at her.

"Where did the black eye come from?" I carefully touch my eye. "I'm going to call your case-worker to check up on you, or, you could tell me right now."

If you tell anyone about what happens in this household, I will kill you.

"Nothing's happening at home. I got this from playing soccer in P.E." Excuses, excuses, and more damn excuses.

"I understand that it's hard traveling in the system, but I want you to know that, you are one of the most strongest people I know. Many kids would not have the strength the deal with what you are."

"Well, it wasn't exactly a choice. My parents gave me up when I was born." She sighs. "Can I go now?"

"Go." I jump out of my seat and walk out of the office. I push open the door and hands grip my collar, pink hair pushing me back.

"You're going to pay for this, Y/N, and I won't care if I get in trouble next time." She threatens.

"If there is a next time. I'm not afraid to start fights and I sure as hell ain't afraid to end them. So, have fun on your suspension." I smirk, pushing her off me.

...

The wind blows my hair as I sit outside waiting for the bell to ring. Decided to skip the last period and sit in the sun, reading a book.

"So, what happened?" Someone sits down next to me. Aaron.

"Detention for a week. Nothing super bad." I respond. "Except for my time being wasted." I mutter.

"At least you weren't expelled. I heard Ivy was." He says. I laugh.

"She got suspended, she'll be back Thursday." I shake my head. "You should've seen the look on her face, priceless." The bell rings.

"You should be more careful with your anger. You never know when it could lead you to more trouble than to just the Vice Principal." He gets up.

"Wait," He looks at me. "Can I walk with you? I have a feeling your friend isn't going to be so happy that I got her best friend suspended and might be coming for revenge." He considers.

"Okay, come on." I smile, grabbing my backpack.
