GARROTH

It was the third time today I had called Laurance's number, but all had the same result as the last. Straight to voicemail.

I want my best friend back, but I don't know how to.

Laurance is tricky, he's the type of person who can be the best to have a conversation, but the hardest to negotiate with if he doesn't like you.

I hope that makes sense.

And right now, I'm sure he hates me.

I kissed Aphmau, then went straight to (Y/N).

I don't even know why I kissed Aph... it just happened. I regret it entirely because I've hurt three people I care about.

Aph because I stole her first kiss, Laurance, because he liked her a lot, and (Y/N) because it feels like I just played with her feelings in the end.

I do like her. I like her a lot. I wanna make a move on that and I don't know-how.

Usually, I would go to Laurance for stuff like this, and him I, but because of this situation, I'm clueless on how to approach this.

I would call Aaron, but he's like her brother and that would be awkward, Dante is just as clueless with girls, he just likes to flirt, and Travis doesn't know crap.

Now the girls would know, but I feel like if I told them about it, they'd tag along.

Tossing my phone on my bed I head downstairs to where my mom is in the kitchen; I can't believe I'm doing this.

"Mom," I sit down on the stool. She looks up at me, still paying attention to the pan with freshly baked cupcakes inside.

Zane is going to have a field day with these. "If I wanted to ask a girl out... how would I do it?" She squeals, making me drop my head down. This is what I wanted to avoid.

"Gar Gar, are you planning on asking someone out?" She asks excitedly.

"I'm just asking, mom. What did Dad and you do for your first date?" I need ideas.

"Well, your father took me to Fortuna Theaters downtown. He bought me popcorn and a slushie, then we watched Ringu."

"Okay, but that's too simple. I want something to wow her."

"Why don't you ask your father? He's better at this stuff than I am." I throw my head back, sighing.

Dad? He's the one person I didn't want to go to.

"Or, the Fair is in town next weekend. You could ask her to go with you there?" She picks one of the cupcakes from the pan.

That's actually not a bad idea.

"Okay. Not bad." I smile. She chuckles, fanning the pan with a paper plate.

"Do I get to know the name of this lovely lady?" I chuckle, looking down.

"You kind of already know her... but no. Not yet." She scoffs playfully, then looks down to the plate of plain cupcakes.

"Fine, keep secrets from your own mother." She hands me the plate. "Give these to your brothers, please. And later I need you to head down to Aphmau's house to give this to Sylvanna." She shows me a box.

I nod and take the plate from her hands, walking into the living room.

"It's (Y/N), isn't it?" Vlyad smirks. I blink in surprise, then cross my arms. "Garroth, she's the only girl who messages you and calls you almost every day. It's not much of a secret."
