I left the house early, I just didn't feel like saying good morning to everyone because... it would just be awkward. I didn't have a nightmare last night and I feel... empty. It's weird, it's like my nightmares give me life, and not having them makes me feel lonely.

"Y/N?" I don't bother to turn my head, knowing it's probably someone I know, but I don't want to talk to anyone. "Hey-"

Someone pulls my hand and I turn around, oh. It's Laurence. "What are you doing here?"

"Walking to school," I state, emotionlessly. He searches my face for something, but I softly pull my hand away and turn around, walking away. I just want this day to be over with, maybe if I'm lucky, when I come back to the house, all the knives and sharp objects will be somewhere I can reach them.

"Y/N!" Oh my Irene why won't people leave me alone?!

"What..." I let out a sigh. Suddenly, Aphmau jumps on me and engulfs me in a hug. I furrow my brows and look around. "What are you doing, Aph?"

"Giving you a hug." She simply replies, that's not what I was really asking....

"Yeah, but, why?" I ask again, confused as to why she's showing affection for me.

"Because you look sad," My eyes widen at this. "And my mom says whenever people look sad to just give them a hug." She pulls away, I look at her, my brows raised, and my thoughts going haywire.

"Okay then," I'm still in my state of surprise. She giggles and turns us around, walking in the direction of the school.

"So, care to tell me why you looked so sad?" Oh, I was not prepared for that question.

"O-oh. U-um," I try to think of a lie. "I-I moved and just really miss my old house.

You know?" I chuckle nervously. She narrows her eyes in suspicion, but Aph never really thinks that hard.

"Okay then," She smiles. My goodness, how does that girl smile so much? It's like she's made from all things happy. "Are you ready for Katelyn's party tomorrow?" I freeze, then look at her.

"Wait, that's tomorrow?" I ask, confused and worried, I can't go if I don't ask Diana for permission, and it's a party so she'll probably say no. "Shit..." I mutter.

"Yup! I heard it's going to be super fun, it's going to be at her house."

"I don't think I can go," I resume walking.

"Why not?"

"Well, I'd have to ask Di- I mean my mom... for permission, then, I'd have to get a new outfit since none of them are exactly meant or parties."

"Oh! Can I go shopping with you before? Tomorrow morning?" She looks excited, but I don't want to disappoint her.

"Sorry, Aph. I don't have enough money to buy an entirely new outfit?" It came out more as a question than an answer, but she still took it anyway, nodding in agreement. Why would she want to go shopping with me? Who would want to hang out with me? She claps her hands and I stuff my hands in my sweater pockets. "Why didn't you wait for Garroth and Laurence today?"
