"No, Mona, you put the-" I hear an explosion on the other side of the phone, making me smack my forehead into my locker. "Well. You don't do that."

There's some silence, before a fumbling sound and a heavy sigh.

"Thanks, Captain Obvious." Her annoyed tone makes me smile.

"Tell the Angels I said hi, I'll call back around free period." I hang up and stuff my phone in my locker.

I bought them projects to do and tons of workbooks to practice in.

Yes, it's not much but it's all I can think of right now. Sierra usually buys stuff for them, but she's somewhere off in oblivion.

A sigh escapes my lips, glancing around as I shut my locker closed. I haven't seen any of my enemies today, and that scares me because that means they're planning something.

Talia's planning something, I mean.

On the topic of her, I need to figure out why she's doing this. As Grizz said, multiple times, it doesn't make sense to show up at your ex-best friend's school just to get revenge for stealing a crush.

There's so much more to it that I probably forgot because my memories of living in LA are horrible and traumatic. I chose to forget them, and now I have to re-remember them.

"Hey, babe!" I nearly have a heart attack when she appears beside me. "Damn, still jumpy as ever."

"Get away from me Natalia or I swear-"

"You swear?" She does that stupid fake smile. "Swear what exactly?"

I fall silent, not wanting to scream such profanities at her because there's a teacher next to us. "Exactly, (Y/N). Nothing," She steps in front of me. "You're not gonna do anything because you're a coward." Hair falls into her face. "Always have been, always will be."

"Did you really take time out of your day just to insult me?" I question, fed up with her already. "Cause I'm the pathetic one, right?" I suddenly catch a familiar pair of eyes' glare. "Great, Thomas-"

"(Y/N) bothering you, baby?" A vape-pen pokes from his mouth.

"Not yet," They turn to each other, suddenly connecting lips and kissing each other. I cringe, removing myself from between them to not see anymore. "(Y/N)!" Talia whines from behind me.

Finally, I manage to reach Katelyn's locker, looking for safety from the friend who likes to fight. Except, I find the girls surrounding her, comforting her in some sort of way.

Immediately, I'm protective and concerned.

"Katelyn?" I hold onto Aphmau's shoulder. She looks distressed and confused. But the entire emotion is something I've encountered quite a few times.

Heartbroken.

"Jeffory and her broke up," Lucinda whispers. "Apparently, he cheated on her." Oh-

"Let's move this into the restrooms, yeah?"

...

Katelyn sobs in a locked stall, meanwhile the rest of us wait for her outside by the sinks. It's been about a good ten minutes now, and Lucinda is starting to get a little fed up.

"Katelyn," She begins. "Come on, just talk to us." I roll my eyes, jumping back onto the edge of the sink. Yeah, no, she's not gonna talk, trust me.

"He-" She begins, but then bursts back into tears.

"Alright," I head towards the door, jiggling it. "Open the door," I hate seeing her in pain like this, and I can't stand it anymore.
