Goggles x Rider

Alert. Alert. Cheesy-ness ahead. Caution.

It was around noon, a bright winter afternoon. There were light flurries falling from the bright gray clouds. Goggles had been awake for a while; he usually woke up early. Rider, however, likes to sleep late.

Goggles opened Rider's bedroom door and began shaking him awake. "Rider....Wake up! It's almost noon!" He said into his ear.
Rider rolled over as he opened his eyes halfway. "Gogggles... Whyyy..." He moaned.
"When did you fall asleep?" Goggles asked.
"I don't know, like seven?"
"SEVEN IN THE MORNING?!"
"I couldn't sleep." Rider rubbed his eyes as he sat up. "Why didn't you come to bed with me last night?"
"I fell asleep on the couch watching SpongeBob." Goggles said as he sat down next to Rider. "Aww... Did you have a hard time falling asleep because I wasn't here~?" Goggles purred.
"Oh shut up." Rider chuckled and elbowed the blue dork.
"SO, Rider... I was thinking..." Goggles twiddled his thumbs. "Maybe we could go ice skating today?"
"Hm?" Where'd you get that idea?" Rider asked.
"Well... It's New Years Eve and all... I think it would be fun! Then we could come back here and celebrate the new year at midnight!"
"Alright... Sure." Rider stood up. "I'm in."
"Really!?" Goggles said excitedly. "You aren't gonna say it's stupid.... Dumb.... Lame..."
"Nah. I honestly like that idea." Rider smiled and kissed Goggles on the cheek. Goggles held his hand on the cheek and blushed.
"Aww... You do?"
"Yeah." Rider wrapped his arms around Goggles and trapped him in a hug. He dragged Goggles along with him as he laid down.
"Heheh... Well when should we leave?" Goggles giggled.
Rider growled. "Uhgggmm... I have to go to work soon." He groaned. "I'm off at 8, I'll come and get you afterwards."
"Okay!!" Goggles hugged his boyfriend. "I'm gonna drive though, I have a special surprise for you."
Rider smiled. "Okay."
"Are you exited!?"
Rider smiled. "Of course." He laid his chin on Goggles' head and they snuggled until it was time to go.

*Later that night*

"Okay Rider, keep your eyes shut!" Goggles said, holding Rider's hand as he led Rider to the surprise. They walked down a sidewalk, down to a small pond with streams of lights hanging from the trees. The only sounds were the sounds of cars in the far distance and the light wisp of the wind; this place was so private.

"When can I open my eyes?"
"Okay. Open!" Goggles said as Rider opened his eyes.
"Aww... Goggles..." Rider looked around. "You did this yourself?"
"Yeah! I hung the lights up while you were at work." Goggles grabbed the skates from his backpack. "Here Rider, put these on."
Rider sat on a bench to put on his skates. "How did you find this place anyway?" He asked.
"Well... Specs and I came upon this place once when we were looking for a place to practice. Since it's so cold i had remembered this place. And figured it was frozen enough to skate on." Goggles sat next to Rider. "Plus, it's nice and private for us. We don't have to worry about other people."
Rider smiled and looked over at Goggles. "Thank you."
Goggles smiled back, wrapping his arms around Rider and kissing his cheek. "Okay Rider, show me what you got!" Goggles had already had his skates on. Rider finished tying his skates, and Goggles helped him up. Goggles got right onto the ice and began skating.
"Oh come on Rider, what's the hold up? Can't skaaate?" Goggles teased, then tumbled a little. "Whoa!"
"Look who's talking." Rider chuckled as he slid onto the ice.
"Hey! I haven't ice skated for a while..." Goggles said as he watched Rider skid along the ice. "Wow... You're a natural..." His mouth hung open in awe.
"Tch. It's nothing." Rider skated towards Goggles and took his hands. "You just have to control your balance."
"I have to what?"
"Let me put it simple - Chill out."
Goggles took a deep breathe. "Okay... Got it."
Rider kept a hold of Goggles' hands as Goggles got the hang of it. "There you go."
"Hey! I'm doing it!" Goggles said. "Okay, you can let go of me!"
Rider nodded obeyed. He skated backwards as Goggles followed him.
"There you go." Rider said.
"La la la la laaaaa!" Goggles happily skated, increasing his speed. "I'm gonna try spinning!"
Rider began to brake. "Wait, don't do tha-"
"WHOA!" Goggles tumbled, he lost his balance and fell onto Rider. The blue squid fell perfectly on top of Rider.
"Oops!" Goggles placed his hands on Rider's chilly cheeks. "Are you okay!? Speak to me!!"
Rider began to laugh. "You're such an idiot!"
Goggles smiled. "Why are you laughing!?"
"Because you are such an idiot that it is funny." Rider continued to laugh, even harder.
Goggles' ears drooped. "Is that a good thing...?"
"Yes. You're my idiot..." Rider wrapped his arms around Goggles and kissed him softly on the lips. Goggles blushed as he felt a soft, warm shiver go down his spine.
"I love you Rider." Goggles looked his man in the eyes.
"I love you too." Rider said as smiled grew on his face.
"I'm surprised the ice isn't melting.... You're laying right on top of it." Goggles smirked.
"Oh shut up... You so GAY." Rider laughed.
"You're gay-ER." Goggles stuck out his tongue.
"Well you're the gay- EST." Rider teased.
"Oh. I bet you were thinking of making out with me right here and now!" Goggles said.
"Was I? Because you're the one who even mentioned it."
Goggles rolled his eyes and laughed. "Come on, you know you want to."
Rider said nothing and gave him a deep kiss. "I guess you can read my mind." Rider said softly. Goggles giggled as he felt tingles in his body.
"Gosh Rider, you make me so-"
*insert iphone ringtone here*
Rider's phone interrupted their moment. "Hold on a sec." Rider grabbed his phone from his back pocket.
"Hello?"
...
"Oh, okay. Yeah... I'll be there in a few minutes..." Rider pressed the hang up button. "Shiiit... I have to go to work..."
"What!? But Rider..."
Rider sat up. "They got super busy. You can come with me."
"Yeah. I'll help out..." Goggles got up as he helped Rider up.
"I promise you, afterwards it'll just be you and me. Okay?"
"Okay." Goggles smiled.

*Later that night*

It was close to midnight. The two of them just finished their closing duties and were about to leave.
"Okay, did you get everything done?" Rider asked as he counted his money.
"Yup! I just have to wipe down all of the tables quick." Goggles said.
"You were supposed to do that a long time ago." Rider huffed. "Come on Goggles. I just wanna go home..."
"I'm sorry Rider!" Goggles grabbed the key for the closet and went to grab the paper towels. "I'll be fast. Okay?"
Rider didn't say a word. He grabbed his wallet and keys and stuck them in the pocket of his leather jacket. He turned off the lights in the kitchen and locked the front door.
"Rider... Where are all the paper towels?" Goggles yelled from the closet.
"They're on the top shelf to the right." Rider yelled back to him. He lit a cigarette and opened the back door. "I'm gonna go start the car, okay?"
"Wait Rider! I can't find them!"
"Uuuuhhggg, they're literally in plain sight..." Rider groaned as he walked over to the cleaning closet. "They're right there you dumbass." Rider pointed up at the top shelf.
"Yeah, yeah... I see them." Goggles snarled as he climbed up the shelf to grab the paper towels.
"Hey, be careful." Rider grabbed a hold of Goggles' legs. "I'll help you down, kay?"
Goggles began laughing. "Rider stop! You're tickling meeee!"
"I'm just holding onto you, chill out."
"Hahhahah! I'm ticklish!!!" Goggles said as Rider pulled him down. Goggles squirmed so much as he fell onto Rider. Rider got pushed against the door as it clicked shut.
"You moron." Rider pushed the squid off of him and got up to open the door. Rider jiggled the handle. "Goggles, give me the key."
"The key?"
"Yeah. The key."
Goggles dug in his pockets. "Uhh.... I don't think I ...have them...."
"What?' Rider took his hands and checked Goggles' pockets. "You didn't leave it on the counter did you?"
Goggles bit his lip and looked up anxiously at Rider.
"Is that a yes?"
"I'm sorry Rider! I didn't know it locked from the inside."
"It's common sense Goggles!"
"Well... I don't really have common sense so don't be surprised!"
Rider's hands hid his face while he sat in the corner of the closet. "We're stuck here all night thanks to you..."
"Hey! You're the one who shut the door!" Goggles said.
"Because you pushed me!"
"I didn't mean to Rider!" The two of them stayed silent after their little argument. The tension continued until Rider checked the time.
"Goggles... It's 11:58..." Rider mentioned.
"It is?" Goggles went and sat next to Rider. They watched as the time ticked away.
"Listen Rider... I'm sorry for locking us in here... I know it sucks..." Goggles placed his hand on Riders leg. "I know you're probably still mad..."
Rider sighed. "Look, it's fine... I overreacted." Rider wrapped his arm around Goggles. "At least I'm with you..."
Goggles smiled. He had never witnessed such a mood change from Rider. "Consider that fast forgiveness your New Years gift to me!" Goggles said.
Rider chuckled. "I can do better than that..." Rider looked Goggles in the eyes. 56...57...58...59... The two boys kissed each other at the stroke of midnight. The kiss was long and passionate. Rider placed his hands on Goggles' warm roses cheeks.
"Heh.." Goggles giggled as Rider softly rubbed his cheeks. "Who knew THE Rider would be my New Years kiss?"
"Psshhh..." Rider rolled his eyes and laughed. "I wasn't expecting you to be mine either."
"2018 was the best year ever Rider..."
"How come?"
"Because I got to be with you." Goggles kissed Rider once again. Rider grinned.
"Happy New Year you dingus."
"Wait! We need a drink or food or something to celebrate!" Goggles said.
"Well I don't got anything.." Rider looked around. "Do you have somethin?"
"Wanna S P R I T E C R A N B E R R Y?"
