Goggles surprisingly woke up after Rider. Funny since Rider is usually the one to sleep in – he must have just been stressed from yesterday.

Rider walked out of the bathroom from his shower. He looked at himself in the mirror as he ran the damp towel over his body. Before putting on his work clothes, he grabbed the one hoop earring from his nightstand. The single earring. The one. Just looking at it made him furious.

He went back to the vanity mirror and stuck the earring in his earlobe. As he watched in the mirror, his eyes gestured toward the movement from the bed, and he heard a little yawn followed after.

Rider twisted the towel on his tentacles to ring out any excess water. "You awake, Goggles?" He asked.

Goggles rolled over before speaking. "Yeah..." his voice came out soft and sleepy.

Rider hung the towel in the bathroom before walking toward the bed. "How did you sleep?"

"I slept okay."

"Well that's good." Rider sat on the bed as he put his hair up in a ponytail.

Goggles stayed turned the opposite direction. There was a sudden muteness that lasted probably a minute.

"Are you still mad at me Rider?" Goggles broke the silence.

"Mad? When was I ever mad?"

"Last night, you seemed pretty upset."

"I wasn't upset, I was just stressed out I guess."

"Over what?"

Rider let out a deep sigh before he kept going "Over everything going on. Work has been a weight on my shoulders, and it doesn't help that you aren't around much."

"Why does it matter if you're at work all day anyways?"

"I mean, I'd like to call you during my break. You're the only person who can relieve any ounce of my stress, but you've kind of just been a ghost as of lately. I'm not asking to know where you are every second of your life, but it'd be nice to know at least what you're up to."

Goggles rolled over, "I'm sorry.", is all he could utter.

"It's fine."

"No, it's not fine." Goggles sat up, to face Rider. "You always say its fine, when it isn't. Why didn't you tell me you were stressed?"

"You never asked."

"Should I have to?"

"I mean, I guess not. It'd be nice though."

Sympathy shone in Goggle's voice. "Look, I'm sorry I haven't been checking up on you lately. You are stressed out, I should have been paying closer attention."

"It's alright Goggles." He lifted an arm and wrapped it around his boyfriend's shoulder. "And... I'm sorry for being a pain in the ass sometimes."

"You're never a pain. Sometimes I just get worried you don't want to be around me."

"I just get quiet sometimes. It's how I cope. Besides, you know... I came to cuddle you last night."

"Why did you do that?"

"Because I wanted to. Just because I'm stressed doesn't mean that I don't want you around. Even if we aren't talking, your presence is important."

"Awe..." A glittery glow of pink burned on Goggles' cheeks as he giggled and hid his face. "You're being sappy."

Rider uttered a low growl. "...That wasn't sappy."

"It was for you."

Rider did his best to hold back a smile but it was hard when Goggles was so close. "Oh please, you've heard worse." Rider chuckled, as he pulled his boyfriend closer.
