I'll Be Back...

'Katie's P.O.V'

The next day I woke up with a banging head ache. I let out a groan and flipped on my side and grabbed my phone it was 10:00am and I couldn't hear anything. I noticed I had a message off an unknown number about 5 minutes ago which said 'Good morning beautiful, I was just wondering if you would like to go out for dinner with me today. I will pick you up at 12 if you're up for it? :)-Jai x'.

I instantly saved Jai's number as I forgot to last night and replied with 'I would love to! See you later :) x' I text him my address and jumped in the shower.

I washed and blow dried my hair whilst leaving it naturally wavy. I slipped on some high-waisted black shorts and a Nirvana t-shirt. I applied some concealer covering my horrific dark circles under my eyes and some mascara. I slipped my black converse on and grabbed my phone. I checked the time and it was 11:30am. I had half an hour so I was trying to think of something to do for half an hour. I wrote a note for Tess just in case she wondered where I was as she didn't seem to be waking up anytime soon. I put the TV on I flicked through the channels to find nothing on. It was now 11:40am and I got a text from Jai.

Jai:I'm bored. You ready now or I can wait for you? :) x

Katie:No come now I am bored as well haha. :P xx

Jai: Okay, See you in 5! :) xx

With that, I got up off the couch and headed out the building waiting for Jai. 5 minutes later he turned up in his car with a smile on his face. I hopped in the passenger side and gave him a smile.

"So, where are you taking me?" I asked him not being able to take the smile off my face.

"Just too one of the best diners in town." he replied exaggerating his words.

"Cool, so is this like-uhhh, A date or something?" I said unsure of what the outcome might be.

"You could call it that." He winked at me causing me to blush and I started to fiddle with my hands. We finally reached the diner after that awkward but not awkward drive and walked inside. It was just like a typical American diner with the red leather booth seats and black and white checkered floor. Me and Jai walked over to a booth and chose what we wanted to eat. I chose a toasted chicken sandwich with chips and a strawberry milkshake and Jai chose a toasted beef sandwich with a chocolate milkshake. Being from Manchester there was nothing like this so I was mesmerised by the decor as I love anything related to the 1950's. Jai chuckled at me which caused me to blush.

"What?" I smiled at him. 

"Nothing you just look cute when you blush." He replied. 

"Stop you will make me blush even more!" Which sadly his comment made me. 

"Sorry, I just can't help myself." He chuckled. "So have you never been in one of these types of restaurants before?"Jai asked me.

"No, there is nothing like this where I'm from. I love anything like this. Thanks for bringing me here."

"It's my pleasure. Anyway, what brings you over here to LA?" He questioned me, leaning onto the polished, sliver table.

"Well long story short, Me and Tess have dreamed of living here nearly all our lives so we have decided to stay here for 4 weeks the go back home for a bit, then decide on whether to live here or not." As soon as I mentioned staying for 4 weeks then going back home, Jai's faced dropped. Weird. 

"Oh, that's cool." He forced a smile.

"Jai, what's wrong?"

"Nothing." He shook his head. 

"Yes there is now tell me."

"Nothing's wrong honestly." He raised his voice slightly. 

I decided to let it slip and get to know him a bit more, well the stuff I didn't already know about him as I basically know everything already. We finished our meals and it was the best food I had had in a long while. I got my purse out but Jai interrupted me.

"Katie, what are you doing?" Jai asked me like I'd just pulled out a gun from my bag.

"Paying for my food what else would I be doing?" Jai chuckled at me and I gave him a puzzled look.

"I'm paying, save your money."

"Are you sure? Honestly I can pay for my..." Jai cut me off.

"Shush! I'm paying, remember this is a date!" He winked at me bringing a smirk to my face and a slight blush in my cheeks. We walked out of the diner and hopped into the car.

"Thanks for today Jai, I had a lovely time." I gave him a smile as we pulled outside my block of apartments.

"It was my pleasure m'lady." He winked at me. I leant over and placed a kiss on his cheek before getting out the car. He was about to drive off but I stopped him. "Wait! Do you wanna come in for a bit? I got a text from Tessa before saying she was out with Beau. We can watch a movie or something, you don't have to of course..." I started to slow down as I started to think to myself what the hell I was doing.

"I would love too." He replied with a smile on his face which made me smile as well. He parked the car onto the car park and we made our way up to my apartment. After fumbling with the keys I finally opened the door and Jai followed closely behind.

"Woah, this place is pretty cool." Jai spoke in amaze. "This is a pretty impressive place just for an apartment!" He said to me whilst walking round.

"But this is nothing compared to your house. Your house is huge." I said to Jai who seemed to have disappeared. "Jai?" I waited for a few seconds and decided to look for him. He wasn't in the kitchen, bathroom, living room or Tessa's bedroom. There I found him, in my bedroom, lying on my bed all snuggled up in the duvet. I stood in the door frame and looked at him. "Jai what are you doing?" I giggled at him.

"Come join me. I'm too comfy to get out now!" He whined and I disappeared. "Where are you going?" I heard Jai shout as I came running back in with a selection of movies and a ton of snacks. We decided on The Notebook and it was my favourite movie of all time. I placed the film on and we both got snuggled up in bed and we was lying next to each other with the snacks in between us. From the corner of my eye I could see Jai staring at me for about 5 minutes. I looked at him with a confused look on my face and he looked away.

"What?" I said whilst letting out a giggle.

"Nothing, your just beautiful, you know that?" Jai cooed making me blush whilst I carried on watching the film stuffing food in my mouth. Very lady like, I know. We was around half way through the film when I noticed Jai was moving all the snacks to the bottom of the bed and wrapped his arm around my back pulling me closer to him. I giggled at what he was doing and I put my head on his chest and I could hear his steady heartbeat.

"Jai?"

"mmmhm." He huskily replied. 

"I wasn't finished with the snacks." I chuckled causing him to start laughing.

"Sorryyy." He have me puppy dog eyes as I looked up at him and he was looking down at me. I tapped the tip of his nose and sat up and grabbed the snacks. I lay back down next to Jai and he put his arm around me. He made me blush again. What a surprise, stupid cheeks. I put my head back on his chest and looked up at him. He looked down at me and before I knew it, his lips came crashing down on mine. Holy Shit.
