Chapter 29

Tyler Davenport

I immediately took the crying baby girl from female officer and held her in my hands. As soon as she came in my hands, she immediately stopped crying, which was weird.

My parents walked up behind me and looked at the baby girl in my hand.

"Is this Natalie's daughter?" Mom asked her.

"Yes Mrs. Davenport. We also found a note in Natalie's hospital gown and says that only Tyler Davenport should read it," the male officer told us, holding out the note in his hand.

Mom took Natalie's daughter from me and held her carefully in her arms.

"I'll put her upstairs," She tells me and disappears upstairs.

I took the note from him, unfolded it and started reading it.

Hey Tyler,

By the time you get this note, I would've been dead by now. I'm not the ideal mother to take care of my daughter and the only person who I trust to take of her is you. I know that you're upset about what happened between me and Rob, but there is something that I hid from you.

Rob and I never had sex.

What?! Then who is the father of the baby?! I went back to the note.

I know that you're probably wondering, who is the father of the baby. The father is you.

You probably don't remember but we went to my friend Sage's New Year's Eve party and during the party, we wanted to sort out our differences because we were fighting with each other regarding of what I wanted from you. And we were able to solve our problem and later on that night, we had sex.

I tried to stop you but you kept telling me "I want this, Natalie. I actually want this with you." And I didn't stop you as I also wanted this. While we were doing it, it felt right because I knew that you were right guy for me. But I knew that you would be upset about what we did, so I got a kind of powder to make you forget about what happened. But before that, you told me that you liked it a lot and you also said that it felt right. But I didn't want your life to get ruined because of me.

I was blackmailed by Rob and I did go to him. I pleaded Rob to let me go and told him that I was pregnant with your child, and but he still wanted to be with me. He blackmailed me and said that he will get rid of you, if I don't give him what he wants and I didn't want to do that. I told him to wait until I give birth to my daughter and I made him promise to leave you alone and he kept that promise. But I know that after I give birth to our daughter, he will also try to get rid of Elle, and that's why I'm giving our daughter to you.

Tyler, you told me one time that if you had a daughter, you would name her after your unborn sister, Elle, the one where your mom suffered a miscarriage. So our daughter's name is Elle. The reason why I want only you to take care of Elle is because I know that she will be raised as a bionic hero in a family-oriented environment just like your family.

I know that you will be a wonderful father to Elle.

I couldn't believe that Natalie and I had sex and I didn't remember any of it. I get that she was scared of Rob threatening her but she still could've told me and I would've helped her. But she chose the worst decision: she committed suicide. It would be nice if we both raised our daughter together as Elle is our child, but now, it will never happen.
