The family got to the hospital and they rushed to the receptionist's desk, and the receptionist was taken aback.

"Who's the patient?" the receptionist asked.

"My son, Sean Davenport. He should've been here already," Kim said crying.

"The one who got hit by a drunk driver?" the receptionist said.

"Yes! Please don't ask questions. Where's my son?" Jack asked.

"Sir, I know you're going through a hard time, but you cannot shout at a woman like that," the receptionist scolded Jack.

"Look here, lady. We don't have time. My 17-year old son got hit by a drunk driver and he was severely injured. Do you even know what a mother goes through when she sees her child injured and taken to the hospital? Let us see him now!" Kim yelled with a death glare.

The receptionist was obviously scared of Kim and told the family that Sean is still in the emergency room. The family ran to the emergency room and the door was locked. They waited outside.

After two hours, the door opened and the doctor came out.

"Sean Davenport?" The doctor called out.

The family heard his name and almost ran into the doctor, asking numerous questions.

"Where's my son?"

"How is he?"

"Will he be ok?"

"What medicines do we need to get?"

"Please! One at a time!" the doctor exclaimed.

"Doc, he's our son. How is he? We hope it's nothing serious," Jack said, holding his crying wife in his arms.

"Sean got a whiplash and three broken ribs. With these kind of accidents, he could've damaged his internal organs but he didn't. He has a minor concussion and his spinal cord is fine. Your son is lucky to be alive. Some people who get hit by a drunk driver has a small chance of survival," the doctor said.

Kim cried harder at the part that Sean got a whiplash. The doctor gave Jack some papers to sign dealing with medicines and insurance.

"Would he need therapy to recover?" Donald asked the doctor.

"Just try to get his mind off of the accident and walk here and there," the doctor replied.

"Can we see him?" Olivia asked.

"Not yet. He's still unconscious," the doctor said.

"Doc, the patient Sean Davenport is awake." A short nurse came outside of the emergency room and she had the mask covering only her mouth and nose. Alicia, Sophia, and Caty recognized that voice and it was Jada.
