"Ok. We have to save the last person. What's the clue?" Chase asked me and I took the iPad out of its case and turned it on.
"Ok. Here's the next clue: You are getting close, but let's see if you save the next person. Let's see how good you are with the ice cream that you drop, where meals are made and people cook, perhaps you ought to take a look," I read out the clue.
"What the hell does that mean?" Luke said.
"Luke, watch your language," I scold him. "Sorry mom."
"Well, the next smiley ball that we have to look for is close to a place where a lot of people eat food," Adam said and we all looked at him like he's dumb.
"Really? We didn't know that," Bree sarcastically said. "Oh well, it's a good thing that I told you all."
"Adam honey, not right now." I eye him and he understood and nodded at me.
"Ok, there are lots of places to have food. How are we going to find the smiley ball?" Bree asks.
We all were silent as we were thinking long and hard on this clue.
"I got it. There is a place near Mission Creek high school where an ice cream social event was held and many children have dropped their ice creams there. The event is happening today. Maybe the smiley ball is there," Chase said.
"Those events are still going on? Man, they are just getting old," Jack says.
"Not for us. All of us cousins like going there and hanging out together," Alicia said.
"Let's just go, please," Tyler says in annoyance and we all leave for the ice cream social event. We get to the high school and see so many grandparents, parents, children and young couples enjoying their ice creams.
"Ok, start looking for the smiley ball. I'm sure Giselle would not keep it in plain sight," Chase instructs us and we all start looking for the smiley ball in every single corner.
None of us could find outside anywhere, so Sophia suggested to look for it inside the school and we all listened to her. We went inside and started looking in all the classrooms, cafeteria, bathrooms, even Principal Perry's office, but couldn't find it anywhere.
We all met up back at the lockers. "Found it?" Jack, Chase and Adam asks me, Kim and Bree in unison and I shook my head in response. "Where are the kids?" Bree asks them.
"I thought they were the three of you," Jack reply and the three of us looked at each other with only one question: Did Giselle take them?
"We thought they were with you! Oh my god! Where could they be?" Kim panicked. "Kim, calm down. I'm sure they're on campus somewhere," Jack tries to console Kim but in vain.
"We have to find them," I tell everyone and we all set off to find our children. Our children has gone through a lot within these past few months and now......
I went in the cafeteria kitchen but they were not inside there either, but I stopped in my tracks as I noticed something.
I tapped my comm device and said, "Guys, in the cafeteria kitchen." Within nanoseconds, the door opened and they all appeared behind me and I pointed towards the freezer door and say, "It's open. The freezer door would never be open. It was always closed."
