Chapter 21

Red's PoV

I woke up, my vision blurry at first, but the first thing i felt was a sharp, burning, stabbing sensation on the back of my right shulder. Then i noticed that there was someone layng over me, as if they were trying to protect me from... THINK, RED!!! That... Monster that had fire magic. But my vision was still blurry. Who was it that had been sheilding me?

Suddenly the world came into sharp focus and my thought and memories began to flow clearly.

I rolled out from under ... Oh My GOD!!! BLUE!!!

His face was burnt slightly, leaving most of his left cheek all shiny, his tuinic had hundreds of burn marks in it, and ... he was still half awake, groaning in misery.

"B-blue?!" My voice was quieter than i expected it to be, but none the less, hid ear twitched, obviously able to hear me.

i emmediatly reached into my hat and pulled out the ice rod. I turned it on, only ever so little, as to only create a light frost, and began spraying it over Blue, then moved on to Green, and finished with my own shoulder.

And finally to help Vi- wait... were WAS Vio?

Green was burned the worst of al, so he was out cold. the only reason I had passed out, i assumed, was because i had hit my hed when Blue knocked me over, to protect me.

Blue, however, began to stir, and i ran over and kneeled at his side.

"R-red... Are... You... Are you hurt?" His voice trembled.

"I only got a small burn. It barley hurts. I'm fine. It actually hurt more when you hit me over the head with an oar." I said.

Blue was in a sitting position.

"Did you try to sheild me, Blue?"

"Of course I did, Red!"

"Why?"

He didn't meet my eyes.

"Hey, Red, WHere do you think (Y/n) is?"

"That didn't answer my question, Blue."

"uuuggghhh.... j-just... DAMMIT RED!!!"

I felt something inside. a sadness i felt whenever Blue and I were alone together. A lonliness that was always there, eating away at my soul.

"Well, If it was because you think i'm weak, You're wrong!" I snapped.

"NO!!!! IT WAS BECAUSE... YOU... YOU'RE SO ANNOYING!!!! ALL THE TIME!!!! With your CHEERFULLNESS and your HUGS!!!!  you're supposed to be the happy, optomistic park of Link, WELL YOU'RE NOT!!! YOU'RE THE STUPID PART!!!! I ALWAYS GET A MIGRANE AROUND YOU!!! W WITH THE' HEY LOOK A BUTTERFLY' THIS and 'HEY LOOK A PRETTY FLOWER' THAT!!!!!"\Blue yelled for a good five minuites, and i felt tears welling up in my eyes, that empty spot turning into a canyon, then into a bottomless pit.

Then it all stopped. I looked at Blue, but he seemed to , again, refuse to meet my eyes.

Then came a more sweet, calm voice... Blue's voice... never heard THAT tone before.

"But that's why I love you so much, Red."
