Jade's POV
I crouched and sprung from my perch on the top of the boulder, my long dark brown hair whipping around me for a few moments before my feet hit the mossy, green ground with a muffled thump.
I stood and began to take brave strides through the surrounding woods, making a lot of noise, especially for an elf.
“What are you doing? You make so much noise, Jade!” I rolled my eyes at the voice that had just issued out of my mouth.
“Be quiet, Korea. I’m busy being on an adventure.”
Most people looked at me funny, or laughed or jeered at me whenever they heard me talking with Korea.
That always made Korea mad. She was extremely protective of me, but sometimes it got us in trouble, or worse, after Korea calmed down enough to let me assume my other form, people had already started screaming about me being a demon-girl, and Korea and I would have to run away from that place so as not to be persecuted for what we were.
Actually, I wasn’t sure WHAT we were.
I mean, Korea and I had inhuman abilities, especially if we combined our powers.
Those powers made people fear us. A lot.
But I didn’t need them. I had Korea, and even though she was sometimes annoying, she was always good company.
Yep. My best friend lives inside me. My best friend IS me.
