Violets  POV

I gazed into the small pond that I has been dropped off at, watching the blood trickle down my cheek, like thick, crimson tears. The now empty socket was filled in with a dark red. I looked down at the lavender ribbon that was tied around my waist. I untied the bow and wrapped it around my head, covering my right eye socket. I glanced back at the water once more before rising and beginning my way toward the love of my life, my friends and my sister.

I looked down at my bare feet and wishing I had shoes, began to pick my way through a thicket of trees at the edge of the forest.

By the time I'd made it past the trees, my legs and arms were covered in scratches and I had a gash on my heel from when I stumbled and sliced it open of a sharp rock.

I noticed a curl of smoke rise above the trees. I shivered. 'Fire...' I thought. I was freezing and I couldn't feel anything.

But somehow, I was able to run towards the curl of smoke that swirled around inside me and blew up my hope to twice the size.

When I approached the house, I was beyond caring who owned it. I stumbled onto the front stoop and knocked on the door.

A few seconds later, the door swung open and I saw who stood behind it.

Vio.

He stared at me for a few seconds before his eyes widened and he pulled me into him, wrapping his arm around me.

"V-V-" He couldn't even speak, but that was due to the fact that he began to sob.

And honestly, so did I.

I buried my face into his chest and murmured,

"I missed you too."
