Lissa smiled when she saw that it was me. "Guardian Belikov, I am so glad that you are here. This useless..."
"Shut. Up!!"
She gasped at me, and jerked back in complete shock. Eyes as big as platters because I would dare speak to her that way. Oh well, she deserved a hell of a lot more than that. Plus, she wasn't my fucking charge anymore.
"I am your charge you can't talk to me like that!!!!"
"You are not my charge and you haven't been for over a month closer to three actually."
"What do you mean?"
"Exactly what I just said. I. Am. Not. Your. Guardian. Anymore."
"I don't understand."
I ignored her and went to my Roza's side, "are you alright milaya moya?" (my dearest)
I took a handkerchief from my pocket and wiped the blood from my loves face.
"Prekrasno, detka. Dumayu, ya dolzhen byl uvidet' eto." (I'm fine, babe. I guess I should have seen that coming.)
"Net, eta neblagodarnaya suka ne dolzhna byla delat' eto s toboy." I said, as I raked my thumb covered by my handkerchief over her cheek, wiping away more blood. (No, that ungrateful little bitch should not have done this to you.)
"Pochemu ona stala takoy, ya ne ponimayu. YA znayu, chto ty skazal mne no ya do sikh por etogo ne ponimayu." (Why has she become like this? I don't understand. I know what you told me, but I still don't get it.)
I didn't even get the chance to respond to my woman before the bitch in question interrupted us.
"Since when are you smart enough to speak Russian?" She asked with a sneer, an accusatory sneer as a matter of a fact, as she tried to crowd my woman.
"Back the fuck off!!!" I growled at Lissa. Which shocked her even more.
What she didn't know was that while I taught Roza Russian, Abe was also teaching the both of us Turkish and Romanian via skype. And we were both, almost completely fluent in both already. Just as my Roza was almost completely fluent in Russian.
"And what makes you think that we were speaking Russian? Do you speak Russian?"
I wanted and need to know that just in case we were ever around her again. And we wanted to say something to each other or someone else, but we didn't want her to know what we were saying. I guess we could use the bond, when it started, though.
"Well, you are Russian, so I just assumed. And no I don't speak Russian." She said it like speaking Russian was beneath her.
God, I sooo wanted to punch her judgmental ass right in the fucking mouth. But my mother taught me to never hit a woman, unless it was in the gym, in defense of others or a strigoi.
So instead of hitting her, like I wanted to, I just rolled my eyes at her stupidity. Did she really think that just because I am Russian that I could only speak Russian and English? That was sooo prejudice.
"Vasilissa, I suggest that you step away from my charge. Before I am forced to make you do it."
"I beg your pardon?!"
"You should be begging for Roza's pardon, as well as for her forgiveness!!"
"What do you mean by saying that she is your charge?" She sneered again as she jerked her head in my Roza's direction.
I sighed in annoyance before answering her question. Which honestly sounded more like an accusation to me.
"A little over two months ago I took a position as a private guardian. For one of the wealthiest and most influential of the royal families. Due to this change I became Roza's personal guardian."
