Chapter 22

"Well, it's definitely not that I don't like it because I do, I like it a lot actually. But we haven't even made love yet, so when would I wear it?"

"Anytime you want to after our first time. I know that you are frustrated because I want us to wait until a specific time, but I just want everything to be perfect for our first time. And you can always wear it around here in the cabin. I mean we do live here all alone, so it's not like anyone else is going to see you in it. And if they did I would have to pluck out their eyes and stomp on them. Then beat them until they forgot ever seeing you like that." 

She giggled.

"Have you ever notice how possessive of me you are?"

"Oh yea, I've noticed."

"Were you that possessive of your ex-girlfriends?"

"There weren't really any ex-girlfriends Roza. I am not going to lie to you and say that I haven't had sex, because that is just what it would be. A lie. And I refuse to lie to you anymore, I am going to do my absolute damnedest not to ever lie to you ever again baby. But what I will tell you, is that I have never made love to any other woman than you before. Never. And you are the only woman that I will ever make love to, because you are the only woman that I am ever going to love. You captured my heart that day in Portland baby, and it will forever be yours. You are my everything milaya moya and I want to make sure that you know that." I tried to word my explanation to where it wasn't a lie, but it was also the truth. I had never made love to any woman other than her, and I never would. (my dearest) 

She smiled as tears glistened in her eyes.

"I do know that. And you are my everything too, Mitya and I want to make sure that you know that too."

"I do baby, I do know that."

We spent about another hour exchanging and opening gifts before it was time to clean up all the wrapping paper and bows from the packages. She had given me another black and another brown duster, along with cowboy boots to match each one.

I had given her some perfume that I hoped that she would love, it was called Amore, Amore. Actually, I knew that she would love it because that is the same perfume that Adrian had gotten her at the ski lodge.  After that CHRISTmas I had always gotten her a bottle for CHRISTmas. She loved the perfume and I loved how it smelled mixed with her natural scent. It was dead sexy.

I had also gotten her a double heart necklace with a diamond in the space where the hearts connect. A tennis bracelet with alternating stones of aquamarine and sapphires. Her birthstone is aquamarine and mine is sapphire. I had also gotten her a necklace and a pair of earrings to match the bracelet.

All too soon it came time to go to the ski lodge. And just to be sure that Roza and I did not come into contact with Tasha. Abe provided us with one of his smaller private jets for transportation to and from the ski lodge. Of course, small for Abe is big enough for twenty-five people.

On our way to the jet we were surrounded by the same twelve guardians that help us train in the meadow. Abe said that the reason for the guardians from the SUV to the jet. Was just in case Tasha was out walking around and if we were surrounded like moroi then we wouldn't be given a second look by her. Or at least that was all of our hope.

Before getting out of the SUV I pulled the collar of my duster up to cover my face. Since I was taller than everyone else with us I didn't want to take any chances of being seen either. Although my height and duster were both a sure fire give away as to my identity. I just hoped and prayed that Tasha was nowhere around.

We left the academy four hours before everyone else did. That way we would get to the lodge and into our room before the others would even leave the academy. Therefore, there being no chance that Tasha could see us.
