Times Change (complete)

Chapter 28

After her magic started, I described to her what I wanted to see if she could do. And of course, I should have known that she could do it. She used her air magic to give her extra lift and hang time as she fought in the air. She could also cause the air around her to harden and sharpen. To where she could use it to slice anything and anyone in any way that she saw fit.

She could also use it to give serious wind burn to her opponents, miraculously enough even in the eyes. When she practiced it everyone around her had to wear eye protection goggles. That way it would be the goggles that would take the damage and not someone's actual eyes.

When she fought with her air power she could fight so hard and fast that she was almost invisible. She was in a word, phenomenal. She was as fast, strong, cunning and gravity defying as any strigoi could ever even hope to be.

The strigoi were fast but my Roza and I were faster. They were strong, but we were stronger. With practice she got to where she could fight just as well in the air as she could on the ground. Once our soul mate bond magic was fully developed. I decided to try and use her air magic to see if I could fight in the air like she could. And I could. I couldn't do it as well or as strong and fast as she could, but I still wasn't half bad. I was hoping that with a little more practice I would be as good at it as she was.

After the debacle of Roza seeing Lissa in her latest sexual escapade. Addie recharged her promise ring. Which again thankfully blocked the bond between she and Lissa.

This was around the time when Roza and I introduced Christian to Jill. And just as Roza had predicted, Christian and Jill became great friends in a very short period of time.

It was almost like Lissa had never even been a part of his life. I am sure that he was still in pain because of what she'd done to him, but he never showed it. He may have shown it to Jill, but he didn't let on to anyone else. At least not intentionally.

The only times that Christian and Jill weren't together was during classes or after curfew. They ate every meal together they came to the cabin to spend time with the rest of us together. It was nice to see that Jill was helping Chris, as he'd asked us all to start calling him, get over what Lissa had done to him. The pain and humiliation that she had put him through.

After seeing just how close Chris and Jill had become in such a short amount of time. Roza asked Jill to be another of her bridesmaids and she gladly accepted in between squeals.

I in turn asked Steele to also stand up with me he also gladly accepted. There were no squeals from him, thank God. Because that would just be weird, but there was a hand shake and a pat on the back.

A few months later Jesse and his mana group were torturing Lissa. It seems as though their relationship didn't last very long.

This time things did not end the same way as they had the last time. Because this time I was with Roza when it happened. But I would not let her go to Lissa, not that she wanted to in the first place.

Thanks to her promise ring blocking the bond she didn't feel much of what was happening at all. I silently thanked God for that as well.

Instead of Roza going to Lissa, I called Alberta and told her what was going on and told her where to find Lissa. Letting her know that it was the mana group. Which meant that the attack on the academy would come later that night.

That night before the attack I made love to my Roza again for the first time. It had been very difficult to wait but we had managed to do it. Although not without quite a lot of hot and heavy make out sessions.

We came sooo close to making love so so so many times. But my resolve held, which frustrated the both of us sometimes. But thankfully Roza understood my desire to wait and the reason behind it. So, as difficult as it had been for us we'd waited.
