In the morning I was woken up by the constant phone ringing by my head. I immediately answered when I have seen it was Connor calling me since I haven't heard from him in a week.

"Hello?"

"Good morning, princess."

"Ugh, Connor..." I looked at the alarm clock on my nightstand. "It's 5 A.M. It's not even a proper morning yet. Why are you calling me this early?"

"I wanted to be the first voice you hear this day. And the first person to wish you a good morning."

"Well that's very sweet of you, but I was planning on sleeping for at least an hour more, so..."

"So you would like to hang up now?"

"No... Now I'm fully awake."

"I haven't thought this through..."

"I can see that... Where did you get this idea anyway, I haven't heard from you in a week. I thought you forgot about me."

"I did, actually. I've had amnesia all week. I've just regained my memory so I've decided to call you."

"You could've just said you were busy or something. I would've believed it."

"You would?"

"No."

"So tell me, Cel... Which one of us is a liar?"

"I'd always prefer being a liar over waking people up at 5 am."

"Did I hear mocking coming out of your mouth? I never thought this was possible!"

"I have a bad side too, you know..."

"I believe you. Just so you don't have to demonstrate it to me. I think it would be hurtful."

"It would." I laughed. I've heard knocking on my door that I didn't expect at all so I got a little scared.

"Celestia!" I heard my mother's voice. "Who are you talking to in there?!"

"Nobody... I was just thinking out loud... Talking to myself."

"Just go to sleep! You don't know what it's like when you have to go to work in the morning! Let me have some rest!"

"Sorry..."

I heard her close her bedroom door and put the phone back to my ear.

"I guess you heard her..." I whispered. "I gotta go."

"Alright. But just promise me one thing."

"What is it?"

"Promise you'll call me today. Any time..."

"Okay, I promise. Now go to sleep, you moron!" He laughed and I hung up.

There is the same pattern in my every morning that keeps on repeating itself every day, year by year. Every one of those mornings starts with me getting out of bed first. Unless my feet have touched the floor, the day hasn't even started yet.

This morning was different in so many ways. I have opened my eyes and for the first time, there were birds on my window, singing a song for me I could never get bored of listening, making me think what a beautiful world it is.

When I tried to get up I felt dizzy, so I took a minute to rest and regain my strength back, although I had no idea where I lost it in the first place. Suddenly the world was no longer that beautiful again.

I was cold even though I saw that the sun was shining outside, and I was also able to hear the splashing sound that Richard made when jumping into the pool.
