"I'm afraid you will have to be seeing us a lot more often from now on." The doctor was as gentle as possible while notifying me about the state I was in but there was simply no way to tell this easily. I figured being the bearer of bad news had to be the worst part of his job.

"What is that you're giving her?" My mom looked down at the nurse.

"We are starting chemotherapy, we told you about this." The doctor seemed confused sometimes with my mother's mood swings. She would sometimes do anything just for me to get better and sometimes being in here was the last thing she wanted. It was like that for me too but I knew I had no other choice.

"Oh, yeah... I remember. So is that gonna make her hair fall off or what?"  She asked looking at my long brown wavy hair she always admired and was even proud of for some reason as if having long hair was an accomplishment.

"I'm afraid so. It might happen all of a sudden and it might go slowly but there's no doubt about that." I wasn't sad because of that. For me it was just hair and I would never cry about losing it. The only thing I'm afraid of losing is my life.

"Then why are you giving it to her?"

"I'm sorry, I don't understand..."

"Don't you have like some other medication that's gonna do the job without these side effects. I mean we did agree to this but I never agreed for her hair to fall off."

"I'm afraid there is no other solution, your daughter..."

"Then why don't you think of one? Ugh, you're all so useless."

"Mom, please..."

"What? Celestia, let me take care of this."

"Have you been experiencing any nausea or lightheadedness lately?" My life has been made entirely of that the past weeks.

"Yes. A lot of times..."

"Tell me... Are you still working?" I looked up at my mother.

"Well... Yeah, sometimes..."

"What does that have to do with anything?" My mom was mad.

"Calm down, Mrs. I need to take everything into consideration so I can get a better her understanding of the state that she's in."

"Get up, Celestia. We're gonna ask for a second opinion. Take your jacket. These people are just after our money."

"All I want is for my patient and that is your daughter to successfully beat and recover from this illness." The doctor stood up when I did. He was obviously upset because of my mother's behavior as much as I was. Honestly I couldn't care less where I would go at the doctor's, as long as I was getting the help.

"And she will do that! But not with your help!" We left the doctor's office and I felt sick, not because of my disease but because of what my mother is constantly putting me through and I had no will or strength to fight back.

"What you did there..." I started the conversations at dinner. Not only because it was so quiet because we both weren't saying anything but also because I was burning with desire to face her to all of the problems. "At the hospital... That was unnecessary."

"What I did at the hospital was for your own good. And don't worry, I already found you another doctor."

"You should be nicer to people."

"Why would I be nice? Was he nice to me? They gave you the drug that makes your hair fall off like it was nothing."

"Yes, but they did it because... Ugh, I'm done." I wiped my mouth and stood up from the table throwing the walking away.
