Sierra also did a few other tests that were foreign to me, she jabbed some things into my arm and my mouth. She apologises after every one and I told her it was fine, it was for Science. And to be honest, I barely felt it. I was too busy thinking about all of my newly digested information as I went over it again and again in my head.
My parents were murdered. It would take a while to get used to that. Before they had been a ghost of my past, without a doubt of it, but I had no recollection. It made me feel empty sometimes, I had no one to tell me about my cute habits during infancy or to tell me the story of how I was born. My childhood was a void that I assumed would be empty my whole life.
"Okay, I'm done. And it's nearly five anyway. You can go back to your room today and resume your usual schedule although I have made you exempt from your combat classes for the time being. You need to heal. I will send for you tommorow to see if I have anything of interest or importance." She says.
I nod and make my way downstairs, to my room. It felt good to be heading back there after I had had to sleep in a foreign bed for the last few nights. Although I assumed the sleepless nights would make a reappearance in the near future.
I reach my room with a few hours to spare, and flop onto top of the covers. I lay there several minutes, face down in my duvet, thinking and analysing, analysing and thinking.

The shrill evening bell wakes me and I sit up. That was strange. I never napped. Ever. I rub my eyes and go to take a shower. The halls were empty as everyone was inside the several canteens that we had eating their dinner.
I took longer in there, letting the water run down my body and into the drain. I didn't scrub myself clean and just leave. I sat there and I thought for a while. I let myself stop and think for a moment. For a moment I feel relaxed.
Then, I hear the door swing open and the chatter of two girls as they make their way in.
"See I told you there would be no one in here. Best time to shower. Seriously." One says.
"Oh yeah? You deaf or something? There's someone taking a shower right now, the water is literally running." She replies like it's obvious.
"Sorry. Hey is there anyone in here. We just wanna take a shower!" The first girl calls, slightly wary. I freeze. I was butt naked in a shower, scared of a pair of girls that had come to take peaceful showers away from everyone else. What was i thinking? They just wanted to shower when no one was screaming and shouting.
I clear my throat a bit. "Yeah, sorry. Just showering." I reply in a quiet voice.
"Oh, what's your name? Do we know you?" She asks friendly.
She wouldn't be friendly for long, I thought. Not once she found out who I was. "Uhm, you probably know me sort of." I mumble. "I'm.." I trail off slightly.
She interrupts. "Sorry I didn't hear your name over the water. Could you say it a bit louder please?" She asks politely.
I take a deep breath and reply in as loud a voice as I can muster. "I'm.. I'm Juliet. Juliet Sterling." I say already dreading the reply. I hear a few whispers and notice the word 'weird' and 'freak' being used. I start to lose my patience slightly as they talk about me basically right in front of me.
"I'm right here you know?" I call out throw the thin curtain.
Both girls jump and I hear two small squeals as I scare them. The first one clears her throat. "Right. Sorry. Didn't know it was you." She says, almost disgust in her tone.
I pull my towel out of its water tight cupboard and wrap it around me as well as my knife, it was just for show I didn't like hurting people for no real reason. "Excuse me?" I exclaim, stepping out of the shower. They were halfway across the room by now but no doubt heard me as they had freezed in the middle of walking.
