I wake once on the entire journey. I was in the trunk of a large car, hands and ankles bound and mouth stuffed full of some sort of cloth, stuffed away in the corner. From inside the car, I can hear at least two male voices talking.
It was dark where I was, which meant I had been unconscious for a while, most of the day. The thought of Aiden pops into my head but I push it away, there was little I could do for him now, especially in a situation like this. I convince myself they couldn't have hurt him. Why would they?
Everything had come crashing down so quickly.
My head throbs and I realise I haven't had anything to eat or drink in over twenty four hours. Everything was blurry and lopsided and my stomach seems to turn upside down. And then black again.

When I wake again, the room isn't spinning as it was before and I am still. I am no longer in a car or vehicle. I was laying horizontally, my hands and legs free to move. I open my eyes to a grey ceiling and throw myself upright. The room was as grey as it had always been, everything so familiar.
I search through the room, my old clothes were here, my bed as I had left it all that time ago. Everything in this tiny little room was the same. Everything was the same. My heart begins to beat harder and harder and my head throbs as my breathing quickens.
And then everything stops and I sit on the side of my bed, staring at the grey wall. And I cry. My temple hurts as I curl up in my thin blanket and weep uncontrollably, the kind where you can't speak or breathe. The kind where you can't even think , there is just a deep feeling of sadness within you that can't find its way out.
The time passes and my tears dry and my cheeks become sore. Sleep doesn't come, I find all I can do is stare at the wall and hope this is all a bad dream and wake up in Aiden's arms any second now. Everything would be as it was, I would be happy again, free again.
I hear my door click as someone unlocks it. Of course they locked me in here, they didn't want to risk their precious test subject getting out again. I roll my eyes internally as the door opens from behind me and someone steps in.
"You're wanted upstairs, Agent Forty Six," the man informs me.
I don't recognise his voice but I feel a stab in my heart as he addresses me. My name was Juliet.
I don't respond and stay curled up in bed.
"Miss, its important that you come with me," the voice warns, calmly.
I turn away from him further in response.
And then there is movement from behind me and someone begins to drag me from my bed. I fight it for a second but decide there is no harm in being forced to stand. There were three guards in total, two squeezed into my bedroom and a third waiting out in the hall.
"I'm not going," I tell them.
They share a look and there is a moment of silence before each of them grabs one of my arms and begins to drag me from the room. I thrash and scream as they drag me along each corridor, swearing and trying to break free of their grips. But I was so tired, so hungry, so thirsty, so lost. They were stronger than me.
I had walked these hallways a thousand times and yet I wasn't sure where I was, I could barely focus on what was in front of me. People walk past and give me curious looks and I can already hear what's going on in their head, they know who I am, they know why I'm here. Some even give me a smug smirk, challenging me, telling me they know I wouldn't go unfound for long.
