The room was nice.
The bed was small but looked comfortable and there was a small closet fitted into the wall to hold my belongings. Overall, I was happy.
And free dinner and breakfast meant I could save a bit on food, though I knew I'd probably end up eating simply out of boredom.
"Dinner is served from six until nine and breakfast is served from seven thirty until ten." He tells me.
I nod. "Thank you, sir." I reply.
He nods and leaves.
I throw my bag in the closet and lay down on the bed.
The train had not long left the station and I had worked out that, including differing time zones, we would arrive just slightly after midnight.
It was past midday now and I crawl onto my bed and stare at the ceiling. I spend about ninety minutes staring about my room, completely exhausted yet no sleep comes.
Aware that sleep would be impossible for now, I turn to look outside at the passing scenery. I spend however long following the bushes and trees whipping past at immense speed.
After a while, I collapse back onto my bed from boredom. I was headed to Seattle, maybe I would stay there.
With that thought in mind I pull out my phone. I hadn't put any information into the phone, I didn't give names or birthdays. I knew technology to be a good lead when looking for someone.
Sophia Halverson was a common name and they wouldn't be able to use it to find me unless it was in a concentrated area.
I search for jobs in Seattle and hundreds pop up straight away. Lots of them say you need 'experience' which i don't have at all.
I could kill a man in five seconds, defuse a bomb, make a weapon out of almost anything and hold my breath for over five minutes but I had no experience as an accountant or a salesman or anything like that.
The skills I had, were useless in the real world. Absolutely useless.
I spend a few hours looking at jobs and pictures and places to live in Seattle. By the time I get bored, the sky is beginning to darken outside and I realise my small space is also dark now.
I click on the light and check the time quickly. It was just past seven in the evening and the sunset was in full swing.
I revel at the beautiful scene before my stomach grumbles and reminds me of dinner.
Dinner was served from six until nine, I was right on time. I change my shirt and make my way out of my room and along the train.
Soon, I come to a small restaurant like area. There was a counter at one end and several tables. Only a couple people were present and all were awfully focused on something or other.
I make my way to the counter and a woman makes her way over to me. "How may I help you?" She asks, politely.
"Dinner, please." I say, unsure.
She nods. "Of course, I'll get you a menu, and we'll find you a seat." She replies.
I smile and nod. "Thank you." I say before she disappears.
A second later she rounds the counter with one of those menu things again and leads me to a seat in the corner.
"I'll come back in a little while for your order." She says before turning and leaving.
I scan the entire menu and memorising it, eventually I pick a paella food that sounds nice and some hot chocolate.
The lady comes back and takes my order before returning with my food about twenty minutes later.
