When I wake, the room is dark. The blinds are closed and the light off, as I get up I fall over my own feet and onto the floor.
There's a thump as my face makes contact with the wood.
I roll over and scream as the light is switched on and a man peers at me. He jumps in the air and yells at me to calm down.
The light irritated my eyes and I roll over so my face is burrowed into the floor.
As realisation hits I jump to my feet and stare at the man who was staring at me. That's when I see myself in the mirror in the corner of the room.
I had a bra and a pair of underwear on. I stare at myself for a second before jumping back into the bed and covering myself with the duvet.
"Did we...?" He asks, confused.
I give him a puzzled look. "Did we what?" I ask.
"Did we have sex, strange woman sleeping in my bed." He says, with a sour tone.
My face turns to disgust. "No! What the hell!" I say, raising my voice slightly.
He moves his hand, motioning for me to be quiet.
"What time is it?" I ask, looking around I remember my watch. I glance at it. It was three in the morning.
How the hell was it three in the morning?
I went to sleep at six.
I look around and shake my head in confusion. I run to my phone and click the standby button.
It was Monday. I had slept for twenty one hours. How in the hell had that happened?
"What happened last night?" He asks.
"It wasn't last night. It was Saturday night." I tell him.
He shakes his head for a moment before his eyes light up. "You're the girl from the train!" He exclaims. "I let you sleep in my bed. And then, I drunk most of yesterday and went to bed exhausted." He tells me.
I nod, I had woken him up in the middle of the night.
Now more aware of the situation, Aiden had a whole different attitude, and I notice that when he was sober, Aiden was a lot more controlled and quiet than when drunk.
He waves his hand. "I'm gonna catch an hour or two more of sleep. Take a shower or something and we'll figure this out a bit later." He tells me before rounding the bed and climbing in.
I nod and walk out of the room, turning the light off on my way out.
I take him up on his offer of a shower and spend as long as possible in the shower.
After getting out, dried and dressed nearly ninety minutes has past and Aiden shows no sign of awakening quite yet.
I busy myself with cleaning his kitchen that was absolutely disgusting and filled with dirty dishes.
When I was small and not fully apart of the chemicals experiment, I often helped the kitchen ladies with the lunch dishes.
I could wash dishes at the speed of light.
I wash all the dishes and eventually work out where everything goes. I scrub the sink and the countertop.
I end up moving onto the living room. I pick up all the empty alcohol bottles from yesterday and throw them away and collect the clothes off of the floor.
Just as I'm finishing up, Aiden emerges from his room looking better rested.
It was nearly six now and he busies himself with some breakfast. I deny any offer of food and simply sit on the kitchen chairs staring at the wall.
