Juliet's p.o.v.

I jump out of the shower, dry myself off and get dressed back in my own clothes as I realise my bag was still by the front door and after what had just happened there was no way I was going out there in just a towel.

Aiden was in the kitchen cooking some eggs and bacon. His head was lowered and his gaze was frozen at the frying pan.

I preferred it that way, no one was supposed to see me naked. That had been drilled into my brain since I was tiny. intimacy of that kind was disgusting and strictly forbidden.

Of course I knew about sex, the whole being in love and giving yourself over just wasn't realistic, there were no fairy-tale stories or fantasises of love and desire, of course what did I know? I had been in the outside world for less than a week, I hadn't experienced love or attraction and seriously doubted that I ever would.

I take a seat and Aiden turns around with the food and gives it to me. I barely meet his eyes as he says," Hey, about earlier... I'm sorry.." He apologises.

I shrug. "It's fine, I guess." I reply unconvincingly.

he nods and apologises again before moving the bacon onto a plate in front of me. "It isn't supposed to look like that, is it?" I say.

He nods and flushes slightly in embarrassment. "I'm not a great cook." he admits.

I laugh slightly and shake my head. "No.. it's fine back at the fa- at home, we always had bad food... my dad was a bad cook." I explain.

He nods and seems slightly relieved.

I chew on the bacon and try to enjoy it as Aiden takes a seat next to me and does the same. "So, I have to leave for school in twenty minutes, what are you doing?" he asks.

"I have school too." I reply.

"Since when?"

"Since yesterday, I'm thinking about settling down here, it's nice. Rent a house, go to school, or whatever."

He shrugs. "I mean... okay. We have to leave in twenty then." He says before pushing himself from his seat and making his way towards the bathroom.

I stand up and go to my bag that was still sitting on the floor. I empty out everything onto the floor and return only the things I think I'll need before also picking out a set of clothes and going to the bedroom.

I had paid close attention to magazines and such when I was in the facility so I had some idea of what people wore.

I put a pair of dark leggings on before pulling a shirt that was shorter than normal. It showed my lower abdomen but apparently that was popular.

I also put a new pair of Vans on and venture out of the bedroom with my old clothes in hand.

Aiden was waiting in the living room, he looks up when he hears me come in.

I turn to the pile of stuff on the floor. "Do you think, maybe I could keep my stuff here. Just for today, I'll come back later and get them. I'll go to a hotel after that." I reassure him.

He shrugs. "Sure, you could stay if you want." He suggests.

My eyes widen slightly. "No, I couldn't. I'll go, it's fine." I tell him.

"It's not a problem, the company would be nice. The house always feels empty with just me." He replies.

I sigh. "I'll stay for tonight." I say and smile.

He nods. "Let's get going." He says, going towards the door and holding it open for me.

I thank him and step outside. It was still a bit cold outside but nothing I couldn't deal with.
