Chapter 24

I was very busy during the four-day weekend and I got sick these past few days (and I’m kind of still am) so I’m so sorry for posting it late.

This wasn’t the original plot. Something came up and I wanted to pinpoint it to the person that I know what he/she knows. (I don’t even know if he/she reads this but whatevs.) Yeah. I talked to Kaye and Goldie about the plot and I had a brilliant idea on what to do here. This chapter isn’t complete though. I decided to put everything on the next chapter (which I will be doing once I’m done with my schoolwork.)

So six more chapters until we reach the end. :( But don’t worry, there’s a sequel!!! HAHA, I’m going to do everything before posting it! That’s a challenge woohoo.

Chapter 24

“I’m tired.”

“We have school tomorrow.”

“Let’s just go home.”

“Legs. Hurt. Like. Hell.”

These were the words that came out from the mouth of my best friends.

“Come on, guys. One more store then we’re off.” I pleaded.

“One more then we are leaving, understand that Parker?” Nadine said.

“Yeah, whatever, the sooner we go there, the sooner we’re leaving.” I said and they dragged their feet on the way to the next shop. “And besides, why are you even wearing heels to the mall?”

“Well who dragged us to the mall the minute we were dismissed?” Emma said

Mon pointed her finger to Emma. “Touché.”

“You know what? You guys leave if you’re being whiney bitches.” I snapped.

“THANK GOD!” Nadine said and they really left me. I forgot that we used Nadine’s car and she was my ride. Damn.

I decided to call Nilo to come pick me up but the second he answered my call, his tone was very different.

“Miles? Are you safe?” Nilo asked quickly.

“Yep, I am. Why?” I asked.

“Are you still at the mall?”

I nodded then realized we weren’t talking in person. “Yes.”

“Okay, stay there and don’t leave the place.” He said and hung up.

I looked at my phone screen and wondered what happened. Nilo picked me up in a few minutes and when he saw me, he immediately hugged me.

“Oh thank God you’re safe or else your parents would’ve killed me.” He said while he held my head.

“Hello to you too,” I said. “What happened?”

He opened the door and I got inside the car. He started driving like crazy and he explained to me what happened.

“Your parents had an emergency meeting in their office in San Diego; they had to fly out as soon as possible. When you called saying that you were going to the mall, I went to pick up some of your dad’s paperwork and went straight to the house to drop them off. All the sudden, Maria and Penny were screaming and I went inside. They immediately told me to go to your room and…” He paused and showed me his phone.
