Chapter Fifteen

Since it was football season, Nash has been busy all throughout the week. I was distracting myself with some school works and Jessie. Jessie has been talking about Justin nonstop and I decided to help her by telling Nash her situation and he wanted to help out as well. Justin, who apparently was not just a nerd, but a sports fan, became instant friends with Nash and his boys. When I asked Nash for an update, he kept on wiggling his eyebrows. I knew he knew something.

“Why would you tell me?” I slapped his arm.

“Do you actually think that would hurt me?” He asked. “And it's a secret. Girls aren't the only one who can keep a secret.”

“I hate you.”

“Princess, I talked to you about this. We all know you can't hate me 'cause you love me too much.” He said as he wrapped his arms around me.

“Oh whatever,” I rolled my eyes in return.

Monday rolled by and I was going to tell Jessie about what Nash knew. I entered the Journalism room without knocking and before I enter the editor-in-chief's room, I heard Jessie and Justin talking.

“So what are your plans this Friday night?” Justin asked.

I secretly looked at Jessie, who was pretty much chill about the situation. “Nothing, I guess. School, you know the yush.”

“What about we watch some movies or something?” Justin asked.

Instead of waiting for Jessie to answer, I ran out to the door as fast as I could. Even though Nash had practice, I called him up.

“Hey, Princess, you have five minutes before coach barges in.” He said, panting.

“I KNEW J LIKES J! HE INVITED HER TO A DATE! HAH!” I said as I danced around.

Nash laughed. “Okay then. Tell me the deets tonight, dinner at your house?”

“Okay then.” I stopped dancing when I realized I was in public.

“I love you.” He said hurriedly. “Do you have a ride?”

“Yeah, Nilo's picking me up. Go and practice! I'll see you soon. Love you!” I said and hung up.

I skipped back to the Journalism room and Justin was leaving with a big grin plastered on his face.

“Hey Sadie! Bye Sadie!” He said as he messed my hair.

I quickly lock the main door before entering Jessie's office. As soon as Jessie's eyes laid on me, she started yelling and dancing around.

“HOLY MOTHER OF GOD! I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT HAPPENED!” Jessie shouted.

I started jumping up and down.

“Thank you so much, Sadie! You're the best friend anyone could ever have! And I'm considering you as my best friend from now on!” She pulled me in a hug.

“I... Can't.. Breathe...” I said and she let go. “No probs, anything for you. So when's the date?”

“Thanks Mr. and Mrs. P for the dinner.” Nash said.

“No problem! I knew you couldn't resist my dishes.” Mom said as she helped the maids carry the plates.

“What are you guys doing?” Dad asked.

“Catch up.” Nash answered while I eat some of the cherries that were left in Dad's plate.

“You guys just went on a date yesterday.” Mom interrupted us.
