"So, what's your dorm number?"
Nick had somehow made it through all of his classes. "Um, B wing, 21."
"Oh, you're with Sebastian," David said.
"Is that a good or bad thing?"
"A good thing. I assume. I've never been his roommate, but he's our friend."
"We're in the A wing," Wes added. "Jeff's my roommate, Hunter- Sebastian's boyfriend- is David's."
"Jeff?" Nick asked.
"You know, 'don't sit on the desks, Sterling,'" David said, doing an impression of Mr. Hanes.
"Sebastian transferred earlier this year, so he didn't have a roommate. Also..." Wes paused. "Don't really bring up his family."
"Yeah, unless you want to be stabbed," David mumbled.
Wes elbowed him. "He would not stab someone."
"I mean, if he had a knife..."
Wes rolled his eyes. "Don't listen to him. He's harmless. But, seriously, his family's a bit of a sore spot."
Nick nodded.
"He's not harmless, but he wouldn't stab you," David added unhelpfully.
"Yeah, I think I get it."
"We're here. So your stuff is already in there, Sebastian probably isn't, and Thad and Kurt are across the hall if you need something. Am I forgetting anything?"
"I don't think so. Besides who Kurt and Thad are. Kurt's dating Blaine, who's pretty much the lead of the Warblers- show choir- and Thad's... Thad. I mean, I can't really link him to anything," David said.
Nick nodded, trying to remember the information. "Okay. Thank you, guys."
"Anytime."
Nick unlocked his dorm and they went their separate ways.
It was a lot larger than he thought it would be. Bigger than his room at both of his houses. Combined.
One of the beds had his bag on it, so he assumed it was his and unpacked.
Noticing something a bit strange below the bottom drawer he knelt down, examining it. It looked detached.
Curious, he pulled on it.
His initial thought was Shit, I broke it.
Then he realized it was a hidden drawer, like one people kept jewelry in so robbers wouldn't find it.
Looking up at the last item of clothing in his suitcase, he realized he had found the perfect place to put it. That way Sebastian couldn't see it when he opened his drawers to get clothes.
He knew he was really paranoid about something finding it, since it was his dresser and nobody would breathe down his neck or watch as he picked out clothes. Better safe than sorry, though.
Part of him didn't want it to be the only thing in the drawer.
