Erin and Hannah posed in the mirror, admiring themselves. Erin's navy blue dress made her pale skin and blue eyes pop. Her brown hair was thrown behind her in carefully curled waves. Hannah's blonde hair was tied in an elegant bun, and her green dress along with her tanned skin made her look like summer.

"Oh look!" A girl swooned. "It's Ryan and Eric Sawyer!"
Ryan and Eric walked down the hall, caught up in some conversation about their mom's high school experience. They were twins, but Ryan had brown hair, and Eric had blonde.
For some very strange reason, the best friend of the MMC and the FMC are always blonde if the MMC/FMC isn't already blonde. Hell, there's always ONE BLONDE. Whether it's the cliche hoe, the MMC's downgrade best friend, the FMC's crazy best friend, it's never the actual MCs. Just to be a little clearer, I'm talking about G O L D E N B L O N D E.
How to avoid: Just switch around the hair colors, or if you don't want blonde at all, but still someone with lighter hair, try making their hair a pastel color or make it white. If you still want it natural, light brown makes for a fine color.
