16. ♡ Suprise♡

Shraddha's P.O.V
Parineeti and I were in the club yesterday. She met some guy called Tom and she ditched me! I just stood there dancing awkwardly, when she came back and said that he was a loser. He was making stupid jokes all the time. So then we went home and I went to sleep.

I went to the curtains and opened them. Since I was sleeping alone and Parineeti as well, we slept together because otherwise we would get really bored. Every night was filled with gossip and laughter.

Then I went downstairs and I saw Varun in the balcony. It was a hot day. The sun was shining bright, the sky was blue and the swimming pool shined like a diamond. Varun was laying on one of the chairs with a book he was reading. He was dressed in pink swim shorts.

I entered the balcony.

"Well, look who has finally decided to wake up!", he said sarcastically.

I laughed and he did as well. "Good morning Varun."

"Morning?! It's already 1 o'clock! Come join me!", he said while walking to the swimming pool.

"Varun, I'm going to eat first! I'm starving!"

"Okay", he says without turning around. He walks to the swimming pool and dives into the water.

As I walk into the house I get a text. I open my phone.

Hey!
Can you meet me today? I want to discuss something with you!

Shraddha🌼
Yeah sure. Where?

Karan😅
At Starbucks? 
Around 3?

Shraddha🌼
Sounds good to me. See you
then!

I close my phone and I walk to the kitchen. My mind wanders to Sidharth.

What is he doing right now? He is probably talking care of his family. Like a true hero. My her- wait what?! True hero?! Shraddha, what is going on? He is a friend! Nothing more!

Suddenly I feel two hands resting on my back. "Hey Pari", I say as calmly as possible even though I was startled.

"Huh?! How did you know it was me?", she asks. I smile and respond.

"You've just scared me too often!"

She frowns and sighs. "I guess I'm just not good at this.."

We make breakfast for ourselves and soon Varun joins us as well. We eat and talk about a lot. We make jokes and ask stupid questions. It's really funny. Unfortunately I need to go.

"Guys, I'd love to stay but I gotta go. Karan is waiting for me."

Varun's laugh disappears. "Karan? Something serious?"

"Shraddha, why do you need to go to Karan?", Parineeti asks worried.

"I don't know", I respond. "I don't think it's anything serious, but who knows? I'll tell you when I'm back again."

They nod. "You better come home soon! We will be waiting!", Parineeti warned me.

"Yes mama!", I laughed.

"Hurry! I want to know the news!", Varun said excited.

I laughed. "Yes, I'll go!"
