"I-I just think you should talk to him. You went MIA for a month and a half without any explanation. You should go and explain at least" Claire tells me
I release a deep sigh as I nod.

After throwing on high waisted jeans and a cropped hoodie, I grab my keys heading towards Zion.
Once I'm parked, I get out and walk up to the door and knock.
"Who is it?" I hear
"If you open the door, you'll find out" I chuckle
Loud footsteps are heard before the door is shoved open revealing nick. I smile widely at him before he brings me into a hug.
"I'm happy to see you but I'm also very angry because you ghosted us for almost two months" he frowns pulling away from me
"I know but I swear, I had a good reason and I will explain everything to you guys but I need to talk to Zion first. Where is he?" I ask softly
"In his room. We'll talk later though" he tells me before walking away
I nod before making my way up the stairs and towards Zions room. The door is closed but I open it to see him on his game. Typical. I make my way in quietly before sitting on the bed and snatching the headset off.
"Dude! Wtf" he yells as he turns to meet my gaze
"Oh, now you have time for me?" He scoffs
I roll my eyes at his remark before snatching the remote next and pausing his game and turning off the tv in the process.
"Look, I just wanted to talk" I sigh
"Now you have time to talk? You've barely said two words to me the past month and a half. You could have kept me updated, y'know?" He crosses his arms
"I know and I'm sorry for that but everything got hectic. Between my dad and finding my mom, everything's just been crazy" I explain
"It still would have been great to get a call or at least a text Nova. I was worried" he pouts
"I'm sorry. I promise I'll never do something like that again, okay?" I say wrapping my arms around his waist
"Good" He says kissing my lips lightly
I smile into the kiss before he pulls away from me. His forehead leans against mine as he stares at me.
"What'd you find out?" He whispers
I release a chuckle, pecking his lips and pulling away fully. I take seat on his bed getting comfortable before he joins me. He sits between my legs, giving me his full attention.
"When I got back home, me and Cameron confronted our dad which you probably already know. After that, we hired two private investigators, who wasted no time finding her in the first two weeks of us calling them. Although they had found her, we made sure it was really her, so, we researched further and it turns out it was in fact her. So, we made plan to take a trip to go visit her. We'll be leaving next weekend" I explain to him
"That's great baby. I'm glad you found her but have you told your dad about this?" He questions rubbing my thigh

"He doesn't know anything yet. He still thinks we're searching. We just don't want him interfering" I shrug
"I'm sorry baby but hey, why don't we go get some food? Then, we can come back here so I can kick your ass at fornite" he smirks
"Oh please, it may have been a month since I've last seen you and since I've played but there's no way I'm letting you win"
