my heart drops at the booming voice behind me. my palms start to sweat and my hearts racing like crazy.
"d-dad? w-what are y-you doing here?" i stutter as i turn to face him
he crosses his arms with a hard look gracing his features. i gulped hard as he continues his hard glare. it seems to be getting harder with every second passing, making me shutter a bit under his gaze.
"i came to see you, seeing as how we have somethings to talk about. you also went off the grid without giving anyone a call. now, what did you just say?" he questions clearing his throat
my eyes widen and his glare becomes deeper. i stumble over my words as i try to spit them out but i couldn't seem to do so.
"nova, are you or are you not pregnant?" he questions
i stand there stunned. almost unable to breath and hardly able to move a muscle.
"i- um, i-i" i stumble
"you what? yes or no. it's a simple question. just answer it" he huffs
i don't say anything. i let my head fall as i nod, giving him the answer he probably didn't want but got anyways.
"how stupid could you be? you can't take care of a child! you're still a child! of all the idiotic things you've done, this has to be the stupidest. maybe after this whole singing thing but it's definitely up there" he belittled
i continue to stare at the ground as he keeps insulting me. the tears start to fill my eyes but one thing in particular catches me off guard.
"if you think i'm gonna let you raise my grandchild with the idiot, you have another thing coming" he says grabbing ahold of my arm
"y-you can't do that. it's my child! you can't just take them away from me!" i finally say
"like hell i can't! do you really think a judge would let you care for a child over me? just you wait, once that baby is out, you won't even get to see a glimpse of them" he threatens
i gasp as he slightly pushes me against the wall. he gives me one last look before storming out of the hotel room. i release a deep breath before heavy tears start flowing down my cheeks. i slide down against the wall before hearing footsteps coming my way. i flinch thinking it was my dad coming back but it only happened to be Elijah.
"novs! what- what happened?" he questions worriedly
i continue crying, wrapping my arms around my legs. the crying doesn't stop and it doesn't seem like it's going to anytime soon.

"nova, try to breath. come on" i say trying to calm her down
i had never seen her like this and i wasn't quite sure what could have set her off. i just knew, i needed to help my sister.
"hey, hey, listen. i'm gonna go find cameron and the others. just try and keep yourself calm, okay?" i say giving her a quick kiss on her forehead
i jump up, running to the elevator. i press the button that says 'lobby'. my leg twitches in anticipation the whole ride down. the doors finally open and i zoom out as quickly as possible. i run towards the restaurant that is in the hotel. i bump into people left and right with not a care in the world. i just needed someone who could help her in anyway.
"woah! Eli, what's up? where's the fire?" nick jokes
"it's nova" i breath out
"what?" Zion pipes up
"what's wrong with nova?" cameron asks with worry in his voice
"i need you to come with me"
