"their upset with me aren't that?" i ask Zion as we step out of the car
he squeezes my hand as we make our way through the entrance. the venue was pretty quiet right now but i knew that in a few hours, it would be overwhelmingly loud and crowded with a bunch of teens.
"not much as upset, they just don't understand why you left. they just want answers but i'm pretty sure they'll understand once you explain it to them" he says rubbing my arm in comfort
i sigh before following him towards the back where the guys were all sitting or either laying down on their phones.
"hey guys" Zion says grabbing their attention
they look up with soft smiles. i give them an awkward wave before they get up walking towards me.
"you have a lot of explaining to do"

"so this is your mom and your brother?" they boys ask in shock
"yeah. this is why i haven't exactly been seen much. i've been searching and spending as much time as i can with them" i explain
"wow" Brandon says in amazement
"he looks just like cameron" nick says pointing between Eli and Cameron
"that's what i said when we first seen him. cameron, being his slow self couldn't put two and two together" i joke shoving him slightly
"hey! i am not slow. it just takes me a minute to take things in" cameron pouts
"that's basically the definition of slow" Eli snickers
we all laugh a the look on cameron's face. i admit, i'm not the smartest of the bunch but wasn't exactly slow like cameron could be at times.
"excuse me, we are looking for Jennifer Hunt?" an officer asks coming into the green room
all of our laughter comes to a hault as confusion makes it's way over the room. we all look towards mom and she looks as if she's in disbelief.
"is there a problem officer?" mom asks crossing her arms over her chest
"please turn around ma'am" he says taking out his cuffs
my eyes widen as he turns her and i jump up at this.
"wait officer. what's going on?" i ask
"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you. Do you understand the rights I have just read to you? With these rights in mind, do you wish to speak to me?" he says making the cuffs click
"officer! wait! why's she being arrested?"
