"thanks for dinner mom. it was really fun" i smile towards her
"you're welcome. i'm just so happy to have my babies back" she kisses our heads
our whole night had been filled with conversations about how we are now and the occasional jokes and side stories. we got to learn more about Elijah. he told us about school, his friends, his undying love for books and movies. he also told us about his friend group. their names were Jack, Drew, Dylan, Kaesen, and Sydney. seemed as if Carter and Dylan were our cousins from our moms, sisters side. overall, i couldn't wait to meet everybody.
"you guys staying over tonight?" Eli asks coming down the stairs in sweats
"i think we might head back to our hotel" cameron answers
"hotel? no, you can stay here. i'm sure Eli has some pajamas for you Cam. Nova you can borrow something from me"

"so, who are we meeting again?" i hear from outside my door
i turn trying to get myself back to sleep. for some reason, i was way more sleepier than i had ever been in the morning. i was usually an early bird.
"some really important people. can you guys also be chill. i don't want you freaking them out" i hear Elijah's unmistakeable voice
"well whoever it is better be god himself if you want me to behave" i hear a deep, raspy voice mutter loudly than the other two
"come on drew. please?" Eli begs
i groan before jumping out from the covers and stomping towards my door. i slam it open before coming face to face with a group of seven boys in the hallway slumping up against the walls.
"yeah, hi, could you guys keep it down? i'm really tired here" i say rubbing my eyes
"uh novs, i hate to break it to you but it's almost eleven" Eli tells me
i groan before going back into my room. mom had given me some clothes she couldn't wear anymore for today. it was just an old pair of overalls and a white shirt. i put it on quickly before braiding my hair. once i was done, i made my way downstairs.
"and finally she's awake!" cam praises
i release a light chuckle before going to grab a glass of orange juice. our mom had made waffles, bacon, and eggs.
"good morning everybody" i say taking a seat at the table with my plate
"morning nova. sorry about waking you" eli says taking the seat beside
"it's okay brother. that mattress is just really soft" i explain
he smiles at me before digging into his own plate. i was about halfway done when i noticed the group of boys from earlier starring at me and cameron with questioning looks.
"i'm sorry do i have something on my face or do you guys just have a starring problem?" i ask snapping them out of their dazes
"sorry" they all mumble
"good morning guys. i'm sorry to have to pop in and go but i have a shift at the hospital. Elijah please show Nova and cameron around and the rest of you boys, please behave and be nice to Nova and Cameron. i'll see you guys tonight" our mom says blowing kisses at us before leaving
"so who are you guys?" a guy with a white t-shirt on and blue jeans
"i'm Nova" i introduce
"i'm cameron" cameron says from my left
"and who are you guys to Eli?" a guy wearing a mickey mouse shirt asks with syrup on his cheek
me and cameron both look over towards Eli who seems to be smiling quite big and appearing to be bouncing around in his seat a bit.
"guys these are my siblings"
