"good morning" i smile as i stand at the stove making breakfast for me, Claire, my mom, and Elijah
"good morning sister" Eli says with a smile
i return it before turning towards my mom. she had been quiet ever since we had gotten back from dinner last night. dad had really shaken her up. me and cameron couldn't be anymore worried about her. as for Elijah, he seemed to not care. if it did, he certainly didn't show it.
"what are you making?" Eli questions, looking over my shoulder
"waffles, eggs, bacon, and strawberries but i haven't had time to cut some up. you mind doing it?" i ask flipping the waffle iron
"sure" he shrugs
the last waffle had just gotten done as Elijah was finishing up with the strawberries.
"good morning family!" cameron yells happily
i jump slightly at the intrusion as my mom chuckles at my reaction.
"really cammy? you had to scare me like that?" i question pointing my spatula at him
"can you not call me that? you know i hate it" he whines like a child
"why not cammy?" Eli snickers
cameron rolls his eyes, sneaking a piece of bacon from his plate. Elijah smacks his head before snatching it back from him.
"anyways, i know it's short notice and we just got back home but i was wondering if you guys might wanna go on a little vacation?" he questions slowly
my eyebrows furrow as Eli looks at me questioningly.
"what'd you have in mind?" mom asks him
"it's a surprise. i already ordered the plane tickets, so you have no choice. just be ready by eight tonight. our flight leaves about nine-thirty"
