"should we tell them?" Zion asks rubbing my back (a/n: i would say feet but feet are nasty)
after walking around all day and getting to meet my family, my mom had decided to take Elijah and Cameron out. she had wanted to give me and Zion some time together seeing as how we haven't exactly had enough time to talk. we both had showered and were in our pajamas. now, we were lying on my bed with my legs over his waist, his arm wrapped around me, and my head tucked under his neck.
"i don't see a reason to" i mumble out with my eyes closed
i can feel his breath fan over my face as he stares at me. my eyes snap open feeling a bit self conscious.
"does this mean we are officially back together?" he asks moving a piece of hair behind my ear
"you know for someone who claims to be very smart, you are really slow" i chuckle before pecking his lips
he playfully rolls his eyes before returning the kiss, only to deepen it. as we pull away, he lays his head against mine while sighing in content.
"i'm glad i have you here" he hums against my cheek
"me too. now go to sleep, you have a show tomorrow"

"thanks for lunch Jennifer" Zion smiles at my mom
"anytime sweetie. i'm just happy to meet someone who genuinely cares for my Nova" she says causing his face to flush
"gross" Eli mumbles disgusted
"aww, don't be so grumpy little brother" i say poking at his sides
he huffs playfully before walking away and towards his bed. i take a seat on the sofa before Zion joins me, along with Cameron and my mom.
"when does the show start?" i ask
"in about two hours. i still have to be there early for soundcheck. you guys wanna come?" he asks us
"would that be okay?" mom questions
"of course. i kind of already told our manager that you guys would be coming anyways" he shrugs
"alright. i'll go get ready now then" she says making her way towards the bathroom
it goes silent as everywhere disperses from the living room towards wherever.
"you wanna come with me to soundcheck?" Zion looks down at me
i shrug, nodding my head. i get up and go to my room to change into something besides sweatpants. i put on some high waisted shorts, with a tye-dye ivory ella shirt, and my grey vans. i make sure to grab my little backpack with my gum, phone charger, ibuprofen, and some earbuds.
"okay, let's go"
(a/n: okay, i've been getting very agitated with this book, idk why but i have. i probably won't update it as much because i'm in the process of moving. i'll probably only post maybe once or twice during the week and then maybe 3 or 4 times during the weekend cause i'm just ready for this book to be over even though it's no where near finished yet. also, my dumb self had a brilliant idea to make another one. hopefully that one won't take so long to finish up but ya)
