"babe, you gotta eat something" the muffled voice of Zion could be heard from outside of my headphones
he had been bugging me ever since we got back from the police station two nights ago. it was getting rather annoying but nothing i couldn't handle.
"nova!" he says yanking my head phones out, pulling my hair in the process
"what the hell zion!" i hiss, my hand immediately shooting up towards where my head started tingling from being pulled
"i'm sorry but you need to eat something. you can't just stay cooped up in this room with your headphones glued to your ears" he sighs sitting the plate of Chinese food in front of me
i roll my eyes before shoving the ear buds back into my ears and ignoring the rest of his little rant.
"nova" he says pulling them out once more with an exasperated tone
"Zion" i mock
he rolls his eyes before taking my phone from my hands gently and putting it up on a high shelf. i roll my eyes at the fact that he used his height to take me away from my phone.
"you know i don't only have my phone, right? there's the tv and my laptop. hey! i could even leave without telling you where i'm going and not even come back" i list off
"stop! okay? i just wanna make sure you're okay. that's all. you really don't have to be such a brat about the situation" he huffs
"i'm a- you know what? whatever. i'll go be a brat somewhere else then" i say grabbing my jacket, phone, and wallet
"nova, you know that's not what i meant. i just mean you can't run away from your problems. you have to face them head on" he says turning me away from the door
"i've tried that and it hasn't worked. so until you can find a way to unscrew up my whole life, please let me know. until then, leave me the fuck alone"
