21 - Surprise

When we got back to Amsterdam on that evening, before Martijn hopped out of the car, he said: "You know what beautiful? I have a surprise for you." "Oh, what is it?", I smiled. He gave me a quick peck on the forehead and said: "I won't tell you. You know that I'm on tour during the week, but we'll pick you up on the weekend. You are free, aren't you?" "Oh! I'm so excited!", I exclaimed, "I am free indeed. But who are "we", Garrix?" He chuckled: "As I said, I am not telling you! We'll pick you up for the weekend. Just bring a few of your beautiful clothes and your personal stuff. We'll be going somewhere special. " "I can't wait!", I smiled, "Thank you so much. Have a good week on tour! I'll miss you!" "I'll miss you too.", he whispered, "Don't run away while I'm abroad, I'll be coming for you." "I won't.", I promised. Then he gently kissed me goodbye.

When I got back to uni, Anna welcomed all excited: "Hey Sweetie! How was your weekend? Did you guys have a good time?" I smiled: "It was amazing! Honestly." We sat down on the bed and filled her in on everything that had happened. When I told her about the evening on the beach, she screamed: "Oh my gosh, so you and Martijn are official now? That's so exciting!" "Well, not official to the public. But official as in boyfriend-girlfriend.", I explained and blushed a little. "That's sooo cool! I'm so happy for you guys! You are an amazing couple.", Anna smiled. "But hey, what about you and Julian? Where are you guys at currently?", I wanted to know. Anna gave me a little sigh, saying: "I'm not too sure actually. I mean he's handsome as hell and I think we get along quite well, but I'm not too sure whether he really wants to commit himself to this. But actually, I slept over at his place last night. He's a god in bed.", she said and blushed a little. "Just give it some time.", I tried to cheer her up, "I'm sure he won't be able to resist you." "Thanks girl!", she answered and gave me a confident smile, "You're the best."

The next weekend, Martijn send me a text: "Be there in 5. We'll pick you up outside the dorm at the small backroad. You ready, babe?" "Yes! Can't wait to see you and where we are going!", I replied. Then I grabbed my stuff and hugged Anna goodbye. I was so excited to finally see Martijn again and spend the weekend with him. Especially because he was so secretive about it. I walked along the pathway until I reached the little backroad that Martijn and I always used because it wasn't so crowded. After a little while, a black car pulled up and Martijn hopped out the back door. He ran towards me and wrapped me into a hug: "Heyyyy babe. Finally I get to see you again! I missed you!" I hugged him back: "Heyyy! How was touring?" "It was great.", he smiled, "And you will never guess where we are going today!" "Come oooon, spill the beans!", I chuckled. Martijn shook his head and pulled me towards the car: "I won't tell you now! Come on, let's get into the car." We got into the car and Martijn told the driver: "Okay Joseph thank you so much for the little change in the route. We can go to the airport now! I'm sure the others will be waiting already!"
