Saturday evening came sooner than I would've liked it. Anna was at home visiting her family over the weekend, which was good, so I wouldn't have to make up an excuse about where I was going. With a really bad feeling in my stomach, I got ready for the evening. I put on a dark blue dress and kind of fixed my make-up. Then I braided my hair and grabbed my purse, ready to go out. I took a deep breath, before I knocked on Toby's door. He opened the door with a slimy smile and said: "Hello beautiful. Can't wait for tonight, shall we go?" Urgh. Everything little part of my body urged me to stop this, to throw up and run away. Toby then tried to put his arm around my waist, which I quickly denied: "Stop it. I swear to god, if you touch me, I will..." "Relax baby. You will be fine. Let us go.", he interrupted me. Then he led me into the elevator, down the hallway and out the door. Soon, we had reached the bar. Toby took me to a table close to the dance floor and then asked me: "You still like these Mojitos?" I sighed and nodded: "Yes, I'd like one if that is what you're asking." Toby got up to get us the drinks at the bar and then returned, putting the glasses down on the table. He then kept on talking about random stuff, while actually keeping his hands to himself. After a while, when Toby had already had a few drinks, I tried to push him into the right direction: "So Toby, I know it has been a while since we last talked. How are you doing? Have you moved on already?" "I'm doing gooood. Has been a while, that is true.", he replied, already a little drunk. "Have you found a new girl already? I'm sure you have. A strong guy like you wouldn't be discouraged by what happened, would you? I mean you could have any girl if you want to...", I said, trying to play out my cards and charm my way out of this hell. "I know I could.", he said, ice-cold. "I think, we should go to dance.", he replied and grabbed my hand. "No, I don't think we should. Toby, I'm taken. We're not a thing anymore.", I resisted, trying to remain seated. "You'll know where you belong eventually. And now, we are going to dance. Together." , he said, tightening his grip on my wrist. "Toby, no!", I said. What was happening? I should have known it. Damn it, damn it, damn it. He didn't give me another answer, instead he pulled me from my chair and towards the dance floor. I was shivering, when he pulled me in close. I felt sick to my stomach and the tears were starting to well up in my eyes. Toby let his hand run over my upper body, his fingernails leaving a red scratch on my skin. I was trying to speak up, but he whispered: "Don't you dare!" Toby pushed me more towards the middle of the crowd, dancing close to me. We spent a few songs like that, I tried to hold back my tears, fighting he urge to run away. Toby pushed me further and further into the crowd, beat by beat, until suddenly I stumbled into another guy. When I turned around, my heart almost stopped: It was Julian! Out of all the people. "Line, hi!", he smiled, "What are you doin..." Then he gave me a second look, his face suddenly serious, watching Toby and noticing the scratch on my skin. He seemed to be analyzing the situation within a split second. "Line, do you need help? Are you alright?", he asked with a worried sound to his voice. Before I could answer, Toby stepped in: "Fuck off, asshole. Find yourself another girl, she's with me." "Excuse me, but I don't think she wants to be here with you.", Julian tried to intervene, "That is not how you should treat a lady." I was so scared. "Julian, please...", I managed to say, before Toby pulled me away: "I think we should go now."  That was enough for Julian. He quickly stepped between us, pushing me into safety behind his back. "Okay asshole, enough with the nice words. Fuck off and leave her alone, alright! Or else you're gonna regret it.", he screamed against the music. "The only one who's gonna regret this are you, Line. I can promise that!", Toby replied angrily and then he walked away without turning back.
