After Gerard's beautiful words, Martijn didn't hesitate long to grab me by the hand and pull me on the dancefloor. There we were, dancing to the DJ's beats in our super fancy outfits in the middle of Spain, just on what could've been a normal weekend. But with Martijn, it was so much more. I just took a few minutes out of our shared time to snap a selfie with him for Anna, who was at home spending her average weekend instead. I really missed her, but the time with Martijn was just... No words could even really explain. Early in the morning, we finally went back to the hotel, my feet completely sore from dancing and my body just drained from energy. I was just super tired. When I let myself fall down on the comfortable bed, Martijn sat down next to me: "You know what? You were the most stunning girl in this whole arena tonight. I loved seeing you during my set." "Hey, I loved seeing you perform. And you didn't look too bad yourself.", I joked. "No, but I really mean it. I'm glad you're here with me.", he added and gave me a hug. I hugged him back and after a while, we decided to go to sleep. I changed out of my beautiful dress into a pair of shorts and then snagged away one of Martijn's t-shirts to sleep in. Martijn placed his two awards on the desk of the hotel room and then laid down next to me. The next morning, Martijn woke me up to another surprise: "Hey beautiful. Good morning!" "Good morning!", I replied and gave him a quick peck on the lips. "Guess, what: I have another surprise for you this weekend, baby. But we will have to get up now or we're gonna miss it.", he smirked. "Wait, another surprise?", I asked, still a little sleepy. "Yep. And you're gonna love it, I promise.", he smiled. We then got up and headed down to the restaurant for breakfast. The first thing Martijn did was turning to his team saying: "Hey guys. Nobody tells Line, what we're going to do after breakfast, alright? I really want this to be another surprise for her." His team agreed and completely avoided the topic, no matter how hard I tried. So after breakfast Louis, Watse, Martijn and his parents got into a car that was waiting for us in front of the hotel. The driver took us down to harbor, where a little boat was already waiting for us. Martijn was all smiles when he helped me to get on the boat: "I remembered you saying how much you loved the sea. So I wanted to take you to see another part of the ocean." "Awww that's so sweet. Thank you!", I replied and hugged Martijn. He then helped his mom and dad on the boat as well and then carried a guitar case in. We all sat down on the deck and soon, we were out on the ocean. I put on my sunglasses and enjoyed the fresh sea breeze. The view on the coast of Bilbao was absolutely stunning. Martijn played the bartender for his team and his family and then sat down next to me: "Hey beautiful. What can I get you to drink?" "Hey sweetheart. Whatever you're gonna have.", I replied. Martijn got up and returned with two glasses of wine for us. When he sat down, he wrapped an arm around me and said: "Look how beautiful the view is. I just love travelling for moments like this." "Me too!", I smiled, "I am so thankful you took me on this trip. This really means a lot to me, Tijn." For a while, we sat there, just enjoying the sunshine and the view. Then, Tijn got up and grabbed his guitar. "Guys.", he said to everyone, "Mind if we do some music?" He could never sit still for too long, let alone be without music. So he started to play some chords on his guitar, until suddenly, a melody came to him. "Line. I need your help. Can you.... Just like hum a top-line?", he requested. "A top-line?", I asked, "What's that? You always forget I'm not a professional." "Oh, sorry. What I wanted to say is, I need a melody for the vocals. Basically, that's the top-line. Could you do something like this for me?", he explained. "Well... I am not sure. I could try, I mean...", I contemplated, but then he shot me a pleading look and I agreed. "Alright. Let me try.", I gave in. I closed my eyes and just let his music guide me. It took me a while to figure it out, but then I connected with his tune and started to hum a melody, then even sang a few random words that just came to my mind. When Martijn stopped playing, I opened my eyes and was back into the real world. "Wow, that was so beautiful!", Karin smiled, "You two are connecting so well!" "Honestly, I swear. One day I'll get you to sing on a track for me. Even if we don't release it and it's just for fun: I cannot get enough of your voice.", Martijn exclaimed. "Come on, it's not that good.", I replied, a little ashamed of all the compliments. "It is that good. I swear, baby. Believe me, I'm good at what I do.", Martijn protested and instead of listening to my answer, he gave me a kiss.
