After a couple of more questions, Martijn and I were led to the photo wall, where we posed for some pictures. Martijn never left my side during the whole time and always made sure I felt good. When we finally walked into the arena, in which the award ceremony was held, there was a moment of quietness. We left all the busy trouble outside and for a second, it was just us. "Are you alright?", Martijn asked me, "I know it can all be pretty overwhelming when you are not used to it, but I just want you to know that you did extremely well. I'm so happy you are here with me tonight." I gave him a hug and answered: "Yes, I'm fine. I knew you were always by my side, which made me feel secure. Thank you, Tijn." "You are very welcome, beautiful.", he smiled and gave me a little peck on the lips. We then walked over to the table reserved for Team Garrix, where we met all the others again, who had entered the arena from the backstage area. We sat down next to his parents and while we waited for the ceremony to start, Martijn introduced me to many of his DJ friends and fellow nominees. I also got the chance to talk to his mum for a little while and she really was a wonderful person. Martijn and she were very much alike personality wise. Soon, the ceremony was about to start. Martijn came back to our table and sat down next to me and his mum. He was smiling from ear to ear when he said to us: "I am so happy and proud that the both of you are here with me tonight. That really means the world to me." After that, he gave us both a big hug. Soon, we turned our attention back to the stage, where one of the presenters started the show. About an hour into the ceremony, the nominees for "Best World Stage" were announced. After a short video clip that gave a short insight into the nominated shows, the presenters opened the envelope with the winner: "And the award for the best world stage goes tooooo.... Martin Garrix for his ANIMA show during Amsterdam Dance Event 2018!" The whole arena erupted into cheer and applause, and especially our table completely freaked out. I gave Martijn a kiss on the cheek before he hopped on stage to accept the award. When the presenter handed him a microphone, Martijn's first action was to call his team up on stage with him: "Yoooo! Thank you guys so much for voting for me. I reeeeally appreciate it! But... But. I didn't do this all by myself. I have an amazing team around me and I couldn't have done it without them. Gabe, Lorenzo, Stephan, Watse, Damian, Louis, everyone come up here! Make some noise for Team Garrix!" Martijn's parents and I stayed down at our table and cheered as loud as we could, as all the guys made their way up on the stage. It was amazing to see them all together, they were just like a real family. When Martijn got back down from stage, he immediately wrapped me into a hug. "I'm sooo proud of you.", I said while hugging him tight. "Thank you sweetheart.", he replied. Then he went on to hug his parents. Everyone was just so proud and happy. Martijn got to stay with us a little longer, before he had to go backstage for his part of the show. Before he had to go, he turned to me and said: "Alright baby, I'll have to go now. I'll make sure to put on the best show possible for you, I promise. Enjoy the show, alright?" I nod and reply: "You'll do great. I can't wait to see you perform, Garrix. Love you!" Then he went backstage together with a big part of his team to prepare for the show. I sat down next to his mum and we chatted for a while, as we were waiting for his intro to start. She was such a beautiful and kind person and we got along so well. She kept telling me all those sweet little stories about Martijn when he was younger. After a bit, we were interrupted by Martijn's intro that started to play.
