The next morning, Martijn and I started the day together. It was one of the most amazing feelings ever, to wake up in his arms. Even though he had an important meeting and I had a class to attend, we still found the time to have breakfast together and even cuddled a little in bed before getting up. When we left his house, he gave me a long kiss. "Have a wonderful day. I love you.", he smiled afterwards. "I love you too! Good luck with your meeting.", I said and then we went our separate ways. I put on my headphones and listened to a few of the new ideas that Martijn had given to me to listen to. They were damn good. The way to my campus went even faster than usual and soon, I was walking past university buildings again. Back into reality once more. All the time I spent with Martijn felt like out of this world. Suddenly, I realized that someone had caught up to me. Toby. Again! "What?!", I asked. Instead of an answer he fiercely grabbed my wrist again and pulled me into a corner. "We have a date.", he exclaimed, just out of nowhere. "You and me? Never.", I replied, "These times are over." "Oh are they?", he asked, acting surprised. "Are you sure about that? What if I say 'Brinkhofstraat'?" Fuck. I wasn't wrong, he had really followed me. That was Martijn's street. I tried to remain calm: "So what?" "So what?", he asked me back, "You really wanna risk it? I'm sure your DJ friend would love all the fangirls around his apartment door. Just go for it, then." Damn it. What the hell was I getting myself into? He was right, Martijn's first ever and only request to me was not to share his address with other people. I simply couldn't risk it. "See, I told you.", Toby smirked, "I'll see you on Saturday evening. Meet me at my dorm room at 8pm, alright? We'll go to Aden's then." That was the bar we used to go to when we were still a couple. I had never been there ever since it was over. On the inside, I felt like throwing up, but I had to agree. Maybe I could charm my way into him on Saturday to finally end this. And I swore myself I would not ever go back to his room with him. But for now, I had no other choices but to accept. I decided not to tell Anna about it, because she sure as hell would've called me insane for doing this. Which I was. But I didn't want to admit it to myself. All I cared for was to protect Martijn from Toby's cruelty. No matter how much it would hurt myself. "Alright.", I pressed out and quickly walked away from the scene. Class was about to start and I had the even stronger urge to throw up. I hurried into the classroom and plopped down in the seat next to Anna. "Hey girl? You're alright? You look stressed. How was your day with Martijn? Or should I rather ask, how was the night?", she asked. "Heyyy... It was amazing. He even cooked dinner for me, which he basically never does!", I gave as a quick response. "Great!", Anna smiled. "How was your date with Julian? You guys making any progress?", I asked her instead. "It was sooo good. We went out to eat and then... Well I stayed the night again.", she smiled, her eyes sparkling. So everything was fine for her and Julian. That was damn good to hear. I couldn't really concentrate during the lecture, it was hard to focus on the professors words. Was I betraying my friends? Was I unwillingly cheating on Martijn by agreeing to do this? Was I completely insane or just a girl trying to protect her loved ones? It felt like dancing with devil, which technically I was. I could just hope and pray, that I would find a way to fix all of this.
