When I reached our dorm room, I just threw my things on my desk and then broke down on my bed, crying. "Hey, Line! What happened?", Anna said worried. "Toby...", was the only word I got out. "Oh no, that stupid idiot!!!", Anna replied angrily. She had hated him from the beginning. And she was so damn right. "He keeps fucking with my head. He still wants to have me back.", I cried. "What happened, sweetie? What did he do?", Anna tried to find out. "When you left the library, just moments later Toby appeared at our table. It was as if he had waited for his chance. And then...", I said before I started to sob again. "It was so disgusting. He was like 'I'll give you what you deserve.'... And then he wanted me to give him another chance. He said if I wouldn't, he would make Martijn pay for my mistakes. I'm so scared.", I cried. Anna came over to my bed and wrapped me into a hug: "I know, sweetie. But you're not gonna go through this alone, I promise. We're all here for you." "Please don't tell Martijn.", I sniffed, "I'm gonna fix this. Somehow. I don't want him to think I still attached to Toby. He was so hurt last time. I don't wanna bother..." I couldn't finish my sentence, because Anna was interrupting me: "You should tell him, honestly. He would want to protect you, I'm sure of that. I mean, he is your boyfriend after all." "I can't.", I sighed, "I really want to keep Toby out of my relationship with Martijn." "It's your choice. But I think he deserves to know, even though I don't think Toby would go this far.", Anna exclaimed. "I'll fix this. I won't let him scare me anymore.", I nodded. "Alright. But promise me you will let someone know when you need help. Either Martijn or Julian or myself or whoever. I don't care. Just let us know. Promised?", she suggested. I accepted and gave her another hug. "Thanks for being the best friend I could ever imagine.", I added. "You're more than welcome, girl. And I'm here for you, don't you forget that!" On that evening, I went to bed somehow confident that I would be able to fix the problem with Toby and just erase him from my present life, plus I couldn't wait to see Martijn the next day. I really needed a warm hug and a bit of his love. He was just my everything. I couldn't risk losing him. He was all I wanted. All I needed.

The next day after class, I grabbed my bag and went straight to Martijn's house. I couldn't wait to see him again, it had been a while. I put my headphones on and listened to some of his music on the way through the sunny streets of Amsterdam. Soon, I had reached his house. I made my way through some people passing by, and for a second, it was almost as if I had made out Toby's face on the other side of the street. I shook my head and looked over to the other side again. Toby was nowhere to be seen. I really needed to destress, the time with Martijn was just right for that. I entered the lobby of Martijn's house and greeted Jacob, the receptionist. Then I gave Tijn a quick call and just a few minutes later, he came down with the elevator to pick me up. When I stepped in, he gave me a long hug: "Hello beautiful. Feels so good to see you again." "I've missed you.", I replied. "I've missed you too, baby.", he smiled and pulled me in even closer. Then, he reached for my hand and we walked into his apartment. "Can you believe it? I have cooked a meal for you tonight. Tadaaaa...", he proudly said and pointed to the table. Two steaming plates of pasta were standing on his dinner table, next to two wine glasses. He had even put a candle on the table. He really made an effort for me. "Wow, Tijn, that is amazing. Thank you so much!" "Sit down, princess. Enjoy the view and the food, of course.", he smiled and pulled back the chair for me. "And your company.", I added, "You don't just cook for everybody haha. What do we have here?" "Okay, so in front of you, you find some Tagliatelle with a tomato and cream sauce and some salmon. I really hope it tastes somehow good. I'm a master chef as you know.", he explained. Then we both tried the food and it actually tasted amazing. During the dinner, we talked about his upcoming gigs, my projects at uni and about Julian and Anna, who were still trying to figure out if they were a couple or not. All in all, it was a wonderful evening. And the best thing was that I got to fall asleep in his arms.
