You and Alex arrive at a small venue, filled with around 100 people.
Backstage, you, Alex, Andy, Jamie and Matt all sit, waiting patiently to be told to come on.
You're sat next to Alex, with your hand entwined with his, on his lap. You look up at him, he looks incredibly nervous and was really pale.
"Hey," you whisper to him, making him look down at you. He smiles as if he's just remembered you were there. He kisses your hand that is on his lap gently, then stares into space again.
"Al, you'll be great. You all will," you say to them.
He looks at you again, giving you a smile, and leans in to kiss your cheek. Suddenly, a tall woman walks in saying its their turn to go on. You see Al gulp nervously. He stands up and faces you with a nervous look on his face, he looked adorable. You stand up and give him a massive hug, you can hear his heart beating really fast in his chest. He puts his mouth near your ear and whispers "I love you" softly and sweetly. It makes your heart ache, but in a good way.
"I love you too" you reply. He looks a lot better. He kisses you on the lips quickly and then runs onto the stage.
"Uh.. Hi.. We are the Arctic Monkeys.." you hear Al mumble from the stage.
After a couple of songs, when they start to gain confidence, Al starts making jokes with the audience and you can hear his sweet little laugh in the middle of some of the songs. They sounded amazing.
After the gig, they all rush backstage with massive grins on their faces. You look at Al, he is sweaty and some tufts of hair are stuck to his red face.
"That was so exiting" he exclaims, pulling you in to a massive bear hug. He kisses every part of your face and then hugs you again.
"You all sounded so good!" you say. They all smile and make a sort of group hug thing with you in the middle. You go over and talk to Jamie for a while, then notice Alex talking to a pretty blonde woman across the room. You didn't want to jump to conclusions, Alex had made it clear he adored you, you just wondered what she was saying to him. He looked nervous but exited. After a couple of minutes he shook the woman's hand and walked back over to you, wrapping his arms around you a lot tighter than usual. He buries his face into your shoulder, and stays like this for about two minutes, before he breaks the hug and kisses you softly and sweetly.
"What was that for?" you ask.
"Nothing." he says. His attitude had changed from hyped up to really sappy and lovey dovey in a matter of seconds.
"You know I love you, right?" he asks you. You nod.
"Good" he replies,giving you a peck on the lips and rushing off to talk to the band members about something.
You loved it when Alex was being cuddly, but it was strange how he had suddenly become so clingy. You begin wondering more and more about what the girl had said to him. You started to wonder if he was going to leave you for her and he just felt bad for you, so he was being extra nice. You shake your head and look at the floor, he wouldn't do that.. would he?
