58: BROTHER

A million miles away surrounded by enemies, dirt and blood of your companions have settled upon your clothes.
Surrounded by danger with a glint of fear captured in your mind.
You begin to see that there's no escape from this hell that you signed up and trained for.

One by one they fall, they fall screaming for someone to help them, they scream to a God, to there families and to there new found companions. Their blood begins the journey to places that they shouldn't go.
Blood begins to surround them, like a river it flows along the ground forming a puddle like an unwanted rainfall stained with a deep red dye.

Before you left I made you promise that you would be coming back.
But now I see that fate has taken that chance away from us.
I wait for you by the phone, waiting
Just waiting.
And hoping that I would hear from you soon

Mother never wanted you to leave and neither did Father.
And after you left there words filled up the empty space in our home.
Harsh words cut through the silence like a hot knife meeting butter.
I stayed in my room just you said,
I would be safer alone
And so would you.

Alone, away from the enemies that now surround you.
You would be safer with the familiarity of home
But that's not you.
You were born to be a protector a saviour to the people
But please, just promise me one thing before time has run out

Please come home.
