Unexpected Surprise, Chapter 10 - At Skye and Lorenzo's

Skye, Lorenzo, and Rae entered. "Mother, I have a room ready for you. I'll show it to you," Skye said. "Thank you, and thank you for letting me stay," Rae replied. "You're welcome, you're family, Rae," Lorenzo said. "Thank you," Rae responded. "I'll show you the room," Skye added. Skye and Rae went upstairs, and Lorenzo picked up the phone.

At Rae's room — Rae and Skye were inside. "There's a bathroom right nearby. I'm glad you're here," Skye said. "Me too. I love you, Skye. Thank you for wanting to name your daughter after me," Rae said. "You're welcome. I'm glad we're close now. Althea was never a good mother to me when I needed one, and I'm glad she's not my mother at all," Skye replied. "Did she hurt you?" Rae asked. "Auntie did a lot to me that would make your skin crawl," Skye said. "I'm sorry you were hurt. You need to deal with the past so you can move on," Rae said. "I don't want to. Goodnight," Skye said, then left. Rae sat on the bed, crying. "I can't lose Skye. I can't lose another child," Rae whispered.

At Lorenzo and Skye's bedroom — Lorenzo was taking off his belt as Skye entered. "Is Rae all settled?" Lorenzo asked. "Yes. Lorenzo, thank you for bringing my mother here and loving me," Skye said, then kissed him. "I will do anything for you, Skye. I want us to work and be a family," Lorenzo stated. "I want that too. I don't want to run when things get tough. I want us to work it out," Skye replied. "I want that as well," Lorenzo said, kissing Skye. "We can make love; it won't hurt the baby," Skye whispered. "No," Lorenzo replied. Lorenzo laid Skye on the bed, and they made love.

At The Quartermaine Mansion — Alan and Monica were talking. "Rae is in town to be with Skye," Alan said. "Did you talk to her?" Monica asked. "Yes. I've let my past with Rae go. I'm upset she didn't tell me our baby died. I love that Skye was in my life, but I want to know that my baby was dead," Alan admitted. "You had a right to know," Monica said. "Thank you for standing by me when all that was happening," Alan said. "It wasn't easy, but we don't do easy," Monica replied. "No," Alan agreed, and they shared a kiss.
