Unexpected Surprise Chapter 29 (Skyelo) - "The Chandler Family"

At Adam's house - Adam was in his bedroom lying on the bed, and Brook was washing his face. "Brook, I love you. I'm sorry that I'm sick," Adam said. "It's not your fault. I love you too," Brook replied. "I wish I could fight this," Adam said. "I wish that too," Brook responded. "Brook, I want you to move on," Adam said. "Adam," Brook said. "Just promise me," Adam urged. "I promise," Brook agreed.

Downstairs - Jr, Scotty, and Coby were there. "I just can't believe that Daddy is dying," Coby said. "I know. I hate it too," Jr replied as Hailee, Skye, and Rae came in. "Skye," Jr said. "Jr, you're all grown up," Skye said. "Yes, I am. I heard about your baby. Congrats," Jr said. "Thanks. This is my mother Rae. So, is Adam really dying?" Skye asked. "Yes," Jr confirmed. "Yep, this time it's real," Scotty added. "Where is Uncle Stuart?" Skye asked. "He's taking a break. Father is having a hard time with this," Scotty said. "Where's Dad?" Hailee inquired. "Upstairs with Brook," Jr responded. "Are they married?" Skye asked. "Yes, they finally are," Coby said as Brook came downstairs. "Skye, you're here," Brook said. "Yes. I'm here. Brook, this is my mother Rae," Skye said. "Nice to meet you. Skye, if you want, you can go upstairs to see Adam," Brook suggested. "Does Adam really want to see me?" Skye asked. "Yes, Adam does. He wants to make peace with everyone," Brook replied. "Do you want me to go with you?" Rae asked. "No, I'll be okay," Skye said, heading upstairs. "Is Skye okay?" Brook asked. "Skye has to be careful during her pregnancy," Rae explained. "Yes, from the accident she had," Brook said. "Yeah, Skye told me about that," Rae added. "It was bad. I just hope Skye and Adam can make peace," Brook said. "Me too," Rae agreed.

In Adam's room - Adam was lying on the bed when Skye entered and looked at him, now so weak. Skye never saw Adam so frail. She went to him and took his hand. "Adam," Skye said. "Skye, you're here," Adam said. "Yes, I am," Skye replied. "Skye, I'm sorry that after I found out you weren't mine, we hardly talked. I thought you wanted it that way, and I'm sorry. I love you," Adam said. "I love you too. I'm pregnant with twins," Skye revealed. "You're healthy?" Adam asked. "It's fine. I just have to stay away from stress," Skye answered. "Who is the father?" Adam inquired. "A man named Lorenzo Alcazar. He loves me. I want you to get better so you can be at our wedding," Skye explained. "I wish I could. Skye, there's a box over there by the chair. It has some of your stuff from when you were a little girl. I want you to have it," Adam said. "Okay. Adam, please fight this. I need you. This family needs you," Skye pleaded. "Skye, you're going to be fine, and so will this family. JR is taking over the business with Adam Jr., and Coby is a reporter with Brook. Stuart is doing well. It's time for me to say goodbye," Adam said. Skye cried. "Skye, I'm okay. I can't live like this with Alzheimer's anymore, so I asked the doctor for help," Adam added as Colby, Jr., and Hailee entered. "All my children here at once. Now, I don't want any of you to fight. You are all in the will. Even you, Skye. You will all be taken care of. Just promise me you'll look after Uncle Stuart," Adam said. "We will," Jr. responded. "Yes," Coby agreed. "I forgive you, Adam," Skye said, kissing him as Stuart entered. "Stuart, it's time for me to go," Adam said, closing his eyes and passing away. "Let's go give Adam and Stuart some time," Hailee suggested, and they left. "Adam, I'm going to miss you," Stuart said, kissing his brother.

Downstairs - Skye, Hailee, Coby, and Jr. came downstairs crying as Brook looked at them. "He's gone," Brook asked. "Yes, I'm sorry. Brook, we know how much you loved Daddy," Hailee said. "Yes, I did. But this is what Adam wanted. The Alzheimer's was destroying him," Brook said. "How long has Adam had it?" Skye asked. "For a while now," Brook replied. "Do you need help with the plans?" Skye asked. "Adam wanted a small funeral. Just family," Brook said. "Okay," Skye agreed. "Skye, you and Rae can stay here," Brook offered. "Thank you. Rae, why don't we go for a walk?" Skye suggested. "Sure," Rae agreed. Skye and Rae left.
