Unexpected Surprises Skyelo Chapter 3
At Lorenzo's—Skye and Lorenzo came in.
"Do you want anything to drink?" Lorenzo asked. "No, thanks," Skye said.
"We have a lot to talk about, and there's something you surely know. Skye, when you were sick with the virus, I was worried about you. I didn't want to lose you just as I was getting close to you. They were only giving out the cure to the sickest patients, so I switched your chart with Lulu's, who was sicker, and you received the cure," Lorenzo explained.
"You were going to let Lulu die?" Skye asked.
"No, I knew Lulu would get better, at least I hope so. I just couldn't lose you, and now we have this baby," Lorenzo said.
"That doesn't make it okay," Skye replied.
"I know, and I'm sorry," Lorenzo said.
"Does anyone know?" Skye asked.
"Elizabeth Webber. Skye, can you let it go? Lulu is fine," Lorenzo urged.
"Fine, I will let it go. Thank you for being honest with me," Skye responded.
"We have always been honest with each other," Lorenzo said.
"Yes, we have. I've never had an honest relationship before, and this is all new to me," Skye admitted.
"It's new to me too, but it feels right," Lorenzo agreed, then kissed Skye.
"Lorenzo, how can we be sure that your enemies won't hurt our baby?" Skye asked.
"I will make sure. I can't leave that lifestyle, but I can keep us safe. You just have to trust me," Lorenzo assured.
"I want my child to have both parents in their life. I never had a good childhood—no bad memories, no anger," Skye said.
"You never told me about your childhood," Lorenzo said.
"There's nothing to tell—nothing good. My adoptive mother, Althea, was a drinker. She only took me from Rae to save her marriage to a man who didn't love her or was never around. Althea blamed me for it," Skye explained.
Skye started to cry, and Lorenzo gently wiped her tears.
"Skye, did Althea hit you?" Lorenzo asked.
"Yes. I promised myself I'd never do that to my own child," Skye replied.
"We won't," Lorenzo assured. "Why don't you stay with me? Tomorrow, we can figure all this out."
"Alright. Dr. Kelly told me I have placental abruption, and I need to stay away from stress," Skye said.
"Then you definitely can't stay at the mansion. It's stressful enough," Lorenzo said.
"Yeah, I have a feeling it'll be okay. Alan learned I'm his daughter, after all," Skye added.
"That's great," Lorenzo said.
"Yes, it is. I love Alan, and I want them in our baby's life," Skye declared.
"I know. I'll show you a room," Lorenzo offered.
Lorenzo and Skye headed upstairs.
At Alexis's house—Alexis was going through her sister Kristina's box. She pulled out a piece of paper and read it. "Oh my God," Alexis said. She pulled out another piece of paper, visibly shocked by it.
