Unexpected Surprise, Chapter 34 (Skyelo)~ "Leaving Pine Valley"

At Pine Valley Hospital, the next day, Skye was being examined by Angie. "You're all set to go," Angie said. "Thank you," Skye replied. "You're welcome. Skye, be happy," Angie added. "Thank you," Skye responded. Angie left as Brook entered with a bag.

"Skye, I have the things that Adam left you," Brook said. "Thank you, Brook," Skye said. "You're welcome. You're always welcome in the family and the twins," Brook said. "Thank you. Brook, will you be okay?" Skye asked. "Yes, I'm strong," Brook replied. "You're one of the strongest women I know. I still and always will remember Laura," Skye said, taking Brook's hand.

"My daughter loves you too," Brook said. "She was the best little girl ever," Skye replied. "Yes, she was. Skye, it meant a lot to Adam that you came to town and made peace with him. Adam loved you," Brook said. "I love him too. When I thought I was his daughter, I thought the reason we didn't get along was because we were alike," Skye said.

"You are alike in some ways. You both love your family with all your heart," Brook said. "Yes, we do," Skye agreed. Hailee, JR, and Stuart then entered.

"We just came to say goodbye. Skye, don't be a stranger. I want to meet this man you're in love with," Stuart said. "Lorenzo. He's a good man," Skye said. "What does he do?" JR asked. "He makes a good living. He's rich, powerful, and loves me," Skye replied.

"That's good," Stuart said. "Yes, I will send you the wedding invitation," Skye said. "Good," Brook said. "Skye, thanks for coming," JR added. "JR, stay clean," Skye said. "I will," JR replied. "Yes, we all will," Hailee said.

"Hailee, thanks for bringing me the dollhouse," Skye said. "You're welcome," Hailee responded. Skye and Rae then left.

At Port Charles, at ELQ, AJ, Michael, and Edward were holding a meeting.

"We were thinking about adding a shopping center at the pier," Michael said. "I like that. Shopping and a restaurant," Edward responded. "Yes, and maybe add a hotel," Michael added. "This is a good idea. We will do something good with Lila's name," Edward said. "Yes, we will," AJ agreed.

"We have a lot of work ahead, but I know both of you can do this," Edward said. "Thank you for believing in me," AJ replied. "Just don't blow it," Edward warned before leaving.

"Dad," Michael said. "I'm okay. I can handle him," AJ responded. "Yes, you can," Michael affirmed.

At Skye and Lorenzo's, Lorenzo was on the phone.

"Yes, I'm calling about a patient, Skye Quartermaine. I'm her fiancé. I have a right to know how she's doing and about the twins," Lorenzo said as Skye and Rae entered.

"Never mind," Lorenzo said as he hung up. "Skye, you're okay," Lorenzo said.

"Yes, I'm fine. Just morning sickness, that's it," Skye replied. "Good. Have you had breakfast?" Lorenzo asked. "Yes, Lorenzo, it's okay," Skye responded, touching Lorenzo's face. Lorenzo took her hand and kissed it.

"I was just so worried about you and our twins," Lorenzo said.

"I was worried too, but I'm fine," Skye replied. Lorenzo took Skye's hand and helped her sit down.

"Skye, I need to get to work," Rae said. "Sure, mother. Thanks for coming with me," Skye said. "You're welcome," Rae responded and left.

"So, did you and Adam make peace?" Lorenzo asked. "Yes, we did. I just can't believe Adam is gone. I will miss him. I want to tell our children about him," Skye said.

"Sure," Lorenzo agreed. "I asked the rest of the Chandlers to come to our wedding," Skye added.

"That's great. We need to pick a date," Lorenzo said. "I was thinking after the twins are born. Then I will fit perfectly into a dress," Skye said.

"Sure," Lorenzo replied. Skye got up.

"Skye, where are you going?" Lorenzo asked. "I need to go to the hotel to check on things. The reopening is tomorrow," Skye explained.

"Skye, you just got out of the hospital," Lorenzo said. "And I will be fine," Skye assured him.

"Alright, there's something you need to know. Your brother and Edward outbid me for the pier," Lorenzo revealed.

"Are you going after it?" Skye asked.

"No, I let it go because of you," Lorenzo said.

"Thank you," Skye replied.

"You're welcome. Besides, AJ wants to open a restaurant with Michael—his second chance. I'm getting one with you, so AJ should get one too," Lorenzo added.

"Yes, he sure does," Skye said, kissing him.

"Skye, just be careful," Lorenzo cautioned.

"I will," Skye promised before leaving.
